A charming family-run home in Ireland’s smallest county, County Louth, guests can enjoy a relaxing stay at Carraig Mor bed and breakfast. Just 2km from the quaint market town of Ardee, visitors can discover two 13th century castles on the town’s main street, nearby Knockabbey Castle and its idyllic Victorian gardens, great golf and strolls along the River Dee. An ideal base for exploring the North East, the renowned attractions of early Christian settlement Monasterboice, Mellifont Abbey and the ancient passage tomb of Newgrange are all within reach. The house boasts a large private car park.

How to get here

From Dublin: Take N2 to Ardee. Carraig Mor is 5 miles north of Collon on left. Otherwise take M1 to Drogheda north R168 to Collon and N2 to Ardee.

From Belfast: Take the A1 and N1 to Dundalk and N52 to Ardee.

Great B&B with all the facilites and a lovely breakfast in the morning. Sheila is a wonderful host and I'd highly recommend a stay at Carraig Mor.

Lovely home, Sheila was very warm and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. She also offered some close sight seeing adventures close to her home. Would stay here again!

We stayed for one night on our way back to Dublin. Sheila was very nice and gentle and the room was very clean and quite. We can strogly recomend this B6B.

Sheila was an amazing host, besides having a beautiful B&B she helped me with my travels. I had a great stay and would recommend Sheila's place to anyone travelling to the area.

We absolutely loved our stay at Carraig Mor. Sheila is the most wonderful host. The room was fantastic and very clean, and the home made breakfast was just perfect. We couldn't have chosen a better place to end our superb three week tour in Ireland. We strongly recommend this B&B.
