This BB was adequate with all of the advertised services but the attitude wasnt very friendly. The host seemed to find our presence somewhat inconvenient. Our feeling, perhaps not his. The bathroom door in this room was impossible...you could barely get in the bathroom around the door and had to shut it before you could use the toilet. Very poor design. We did appreciate the small desk and room to place suitcases. Very steep stairs and hallway wasnt clean I think they were doing some work in other rooms.

I am sorry to say that the St. Joseph BB was the least friendly of all the BBs we stayed in during our trip to Ireland. The landlady was apparently painting and could hardly be bothered to show us our room. The directions given in the guidebook were misleading. I selected St. Josephs because it purported to be in the Waterford Crystal works but when we finally found it, it was nowhere near the Waterford plant. All in all, it was a disappointing stay.

The place was nice and the people friendly, but when I paid the next morning they actually charged me more than what I owed even though I presented them with my confirmation paper explaining what I put down as a deposit and what I still owed. They even mentioned they were giving me a better price when I calculated it to US dollars that same day with the current exchange rate they still charged me more. Just be careful when checking out not all of the bed and breakfasts know how to charge you in Euros if you booked the room in dollars.
