Beautiful home and grounds however the host Rita was must unwelcoming. Arrived at 3:50 as we were told that all the B&B check in are between 3 and 4:00. Well Rita was very annoyed and said check in is 5:00 and doesn't know why guest are told between 3 and 4. We apologized and said we would go eat dinner and come back. She said leave your bags and go eat your dinner. We did just that but didn't really want to stay after such a welcome. She was a little more friendly when we returned and asked what we wanted for breakfast and we told her. She asked what time and we said 8:30 and she said could we make it 9:00. We said sure. We stood in our room that night so not to disturb Rita. In the morning she slipped a note under our door at 8:15 and it said if you want breakfast it's ready. We ate and just wanted to move on. She was friendly in the morning but we just couldn't get the negative welcoming and Rita not wanting to accommodate our request for a 8:30 breakfast when she asked what time. The plumbing also needs some care. The bowl not flushing well and hot water taking forever in the sink to arrive.

In French! 😉 Maison confortable et très bon accueil. Ce n’était qu’un passage sur notre route, il n’y a pas trop de choses autour. Merci

Rita is a gracious hostess and made us feel welcome. Her B&B is close to town and this makes travelling to evening meals easy. It is unfortunate that coffee and tea are not supplied in the rooms, as we certainly enjoy having a quiet cuppa in the privacy of our room. We enjoyed our conversations with her and she suggested several tourist sites and ideas that were well worth it.

The house was lovely and the view was pretty. Rita was very nice, but had some "rules" that we found to be odd based on other B&B's we stayed in. We were not allowed to bring coffee or tea upstairs (I love to drink my coffee in peace each morning), were told we could only use one bed in our room (my husband tosses and turns some night due to back pain) which I thought was strange since we paid for the room. We were also told to drop our luggage as we were coming down the stairs for breakfast as "she could not wait on us to bring down the luggage as she had breakfast waiting and others to attend to". She seems eager to get us fed and out the door. I don't think I would stay here again just based on the above. However the food was good and our room was clean.
