A perfect stay! The room was comfy with a lovely view of the gardens and beyond. Angela thought of every detail and gave us a breakfast that was the best ever, right down to the homemade fruit compote, jam, and perfect poached eggs. She also gave us great advice on finding music and didn't mind at all that we sneaked in after closing the Porterhouse Inn at almost midnight.Our best music night in Ireland as well. We will certainly stay with Angela again-and we'll be sure to book early. I left feeling as though I had made a new friend.

What a beautiful setting! The view from our room looked out over the Atlantic and coastal islands, perfect! Angela has a beautiful house. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and Angela was very helpful with suggestions for exploring. We would definitely stay here again.

What a delight it was to stay at Carrabaun House with hosts Angela and Francis. The view of Croagh Patrick is gorgeous, the gardens are beautiful, the house is stately and comfortable, and the welcome is warm and dignified. Amid all that elegance, it would have been perfectly reasonable if they had provided merely cold cereal and toast for breakfast. But instead, Angela's breakfasts were exquisite. We had a choice of salmon and eggs, full Irish breakfast, pancakes, and French toast. We stayed four nights, and tried all the breakfast options, including our first blood pudding, and they were all wonderful. And Angela makes several breads every day to top with jam from her garden's berries. She also serves yogurt with her home-grown fruit. Francis and Angela had great advice for local attractions. They figured out the kinds of things we like and steered us toward them. We loved everything about our stay. We felt honored to be there, and would love to visit again.
