Meet your host…

Valerie Doey

We have lived here for the past 18 yrs and have been doing B&B for 13 yrs now! I was brought up on a farm about 30 miles from here. I enjoy baking and cooking like my Mother taught me. Willie was brought up a stones throw from here & knows a lot about the local area . We love chatting to our guests & helping them with directions etc also welcoming guests from all around the world to this lovely part of Northern Ireland and our home. Our guests comfort whilst here is paramount to us.

We recently motored west to east across the north of Ireland and Northern Ireland, and Coolmore House was our fourth evening stop. As travelers not familiar with the geography we were a bit tired at the end of each day, but our host Valerie immediately did her best to make us feel at home and comfortable in her very tastefully decorated home. The room was spacious and stylishly decorated, yet comfortable and warm. We had excellent bath facilities, WiFi as needed, and all the accommodations one could desire. Breakfast was grand and traditionally Irish and our host Valerie was able to join us at the table at our request for an interesting and candid conversation. Valerie is warm and gracious. We would strongly recommend Coolmore House to other visitors.

Valerie welcomed us into her beautiful home our first night in Ireland. She was amazing! What a special lady. Our room was lovely, comfortable and quiet. We loved it! Valerie served a delicious breakfast. We very much appreciated her helpful advice as we headed out on our next stop. Can't commend or thank her enough!

We were royally welcomed by Valerie and offered tea/coffee on arrival. The room, breakfast and Dining Room were all superb. Breakfast with all guests around one large dining table made for great craik. We will go back sometime and would recommend Coolmore House and Valerie the Host to anyone.

Valerie is one of the sweetest and most thoughtful people I have ever met! My hubby and I were on our honey moon. She upgraded us free and even gave us a CD play to use for the night and a bottle of wine. She added an extra bit of romance and the house was just beautiful on top of that! Thanks Valerie for being an amazing host!

What a lovely place to stay! Situated in picturesque Northern Irish countryside. Such a warm and friendly welcome too! The rooms and bathroom were lovely and very quiet. Breakfast was great and Valerie was especially helpful in keeping food warm for us as we took turns eating while trying to care for our 5 week old son.
