Margaret is one of the sweetest people that I've ever met. It was an absolute pleasure to stay with her. When we arrived, she immediately greeted us with tea, scones and brown bread. Her brown bread is the best that I've ever tasted. I learned a lot about Ireland and Irish culture talking to Margaret. She set the bar for what a B&B should be like.

We had a very lovely stay at CastleFarm. Great host and hostess, fabulous breakfast. Tom and Margaret directed us to a fabulous restaurant in the area, we were very pleasantly surprised. Although CastleFarm is a little difficult to find, it is essential that when Margaret explains HER directions, you need to follow them. She is an absolutely lovely lady and made us feel right at home. I am convinced that she makes the best brown bread in Ireland and she will gladly give you the recipe if you ask. A delight.

Margaret & Tom were wonderful hosts. Our room was clean and the food was great. Margaret was very helpful when we needed to make some changes with our bookings. The view from our room was wonderful.

Tom and Margaret were the absolute best hosts. Full of history and hospitality and a beautiful home with lovely views. Would definitely recommend for anyone staying in the Cork area!

My parents and I were fortunate enough to spend one night at this great B and B during our trip around Ireland. We were given a very warm welcome and my mother will never forget how Margaret had even arranged a birthday surprise for her! As we arrived very late at Ballymacoda, we had problems finding a place to dine but Margaret immediately offered her assistance and after making reservations, she finally lead us to a restaurant driving ahead of us in her own car. It should be mentioned that her breakfast was delicious, the rooms were spacious and the view of Margaret's and Tom's garden and the sea were spectecular! The only thing we were not happy about was that we had to leave so soon. However, we absolutely intend to spend much more time at Castle Farm when we return to Ireland.
