Meet your host…

Anne Badger

Young at heart, mother of four grown up children, who now live in England, Scotland, Austria & Hong Kong. Four years ago I decided to fill the empty nest by doing all the things I love, baking, having guests, making sure they enjoy themselves, and using my local knowledge to show off the wealth of beauty and history in our area. My husband and I make in it a point to give our guests clean, comfortable and welcoming accommodation. The most rewarding part is meeting our guests.

Magnificent, lakeside setting with secure parking and locked sheds for motorbikes. Picturesque walks around the Crannog and Castle in an area of great historical interest. We are situated where the last O'Neill battle is believed to have taken place in 1653, a pivotal event in the course of Irish history when Sir Phelim O'Neill was captured and taken to Dublin to be hanged, drawn and quartered. Homely atmosphere with all rooms overlooking lake. Watch the fish jumping or the wildfowl land on the water as you eat breakfast or relax in your room. Ground floor ensuite family room with patio doors to garden, spacious sitting room and childs cot available if required. This room is also ideal for less abled guests. Double and twin rooms are situated at the front of the house upstairs. Meals are freshly prepared from home grown and local produce where possible. We are within 30 mins from Davagh Forest Mountain Bike Trails and The Jungle Activity Centre. Armagh Cathedral and stately homes such as The Argory, Lissan House and Springhill are all approximately half an hour away. Also near hand are Coalisland Canal, Lough Neagh and Ardboe Cross. Find us ten minutes drive from Coalisland, exit M1. Off A29 Cookstown/ Dungannon road, and midway between Belfast and Fermanagh. Ideal as a stopover for travellers from Southern Ireland and only an hour from the North Coast. Tea/coffee on arrival. Full Irish breakfast supplied.
