Activities

There is always lots to be done on the White Heather Farm with the vegetables being sown in spring, silage cutting in summer and feeding the animals during the winter months. Many of our guests take a stroll before or after breakfast to the farm, enjoying the panoramic views on the way. The more adventurous take a picnic to the top of the mountain and walk along the sheep tracks.

The River Sheen flows through theWhite Heather Farm and a fishing licence may be purchased in the local town of Kenmare. Children can enjoy playing in the paddling pools with adult supervision and learn about nature.

Our farmhouse is a short  drive to the Bonane Heritage Centre and Molly Gallivans traditional farmhouse.

Explore the natural lakes and waterfalls at Gleninchaquin park. A great day out for the family and after you have explored this natural wonder, enjoy  a drink and snack in the cafe.
