The Gobbins Cliff PathIf you are an adventure seeker, have a passion for walking or simply love the outdoors, the Gobbins Cliff Path walk is absolutely perfect for you. The Gobbins are a set of breath-taking cliffs on the edge of the beautiful Islandmagee peninsula, along the Causeway Coastal Route in County Antrim. This ‘white-knuckle’ pathway has only newly reopened and is proving to be a massive success with visitors to Northern Ireland.

Guided Tours

The Gobbins Cliff PathThe Gobbins Cliff Path can only be accessed by a guided tour, which lasts approximately 2.5 hours, and due to popularity, it is advised to book in advance to avoid disappointment. The walk can only be described as thrilling, as you are exploring the very edge of the peninsula out in the elements, where you can feel the waves crashing below your feet while the wind whips in your hair. The walk begins with a short bus journey, followed by a steep 1km descent. You then climb 100 steps to the path entrance at the Wise Eye, where you being the 2km walk along the exhilarating cliff edge. The tour is wrapped up by a steep upward climb to the final destination to return home. A moderate level of fitness is required to complete the walk and there are height restrictions in place for the walkers’ safety.  As you take part in this adventure, you can’t help but feel that you really are in the middle of something truly special as you discover Northern Ireland's Gobbins Cliff Path.
