We had a triple room for two men and one woman, all aged 69. The room we got was not ensuite, which was not a problem, really, but I mentioned it idly, "Oh, not ensuite?" The hostess, Mrs. Kenny, picked up on this and repeatedly suggested that we did not have to stay there if we did not want to and we would probably like it much better someplace else. This got to be such a recurrent theme that we became convinced that she had a problem with us being there, and if she did, it must be that we were three adults of different genders sharing a room. But when we submitted our room request on the B&B Ireland computer system, we were not offered separate rooms in any of our locations -- which was not a problem for us, but possibly was for Mrs. Kenny. It surprises me to see how friendly everyone seems to think this hostess was, because she did not present herself that way to us. When we brought in our suitcases to repack for our flight, instead of just overnight bags, she also told us that Americans always have too much luggage. And the next morning she thought we were not leaving soon enough (though we left before her checkout time) and told us we would probably miss our flight. The room was clean and breakfast was fine. But the hostess acted like she was not pleased to have us for guests. I could be wrong about what the source of her concern about us was, though.

We had a wonderful stay at the Seaview B&B, Mrs. Kenny was so friendly and made us feel at home. We enjoyed a great dinner at a local spot just walking distance down the street. Mrs. Kenny also advised us to stop by the Malahide Castle on our way to the airport, so thankful we did! It was absolutely beautiful and we would have missed it if it wasn't for her!

The host, Ms. Rita was most gracious and accommodating. She allowed us to arrive early to get the key so that we could take a special walking tour and partake in St. Patrick's Day celebrations. She then welcomed us when we arrived back for the evening and entertained us along with another couple.

Wonderful stay! Rita was incredibly personable and had great recommendations for places to eat in the area. EXCELLENT homemade breakfast (one of the best we had during our 7 days!!) - try her scones!!
