Meet your host…

Margaret Moriarty

Gene and I have lived in Killarney all our lives, our families were also B&B hosts from the mid fifties. We rebuilt Beniska House in 2000 and have really enjoyed helping our guests from various countries enjoy all the scenery of Kerry over the past twelve years. While we are aware that our town is becoming more and more commercial, we cannot emphasise enough that there are acres and acres of unspoilt landscape which you can explore in peace and quiet.

This was a lovely B & B. The hosts were so welcoming. Margaret kept us company during breakfast and gave us so many inside details about Ireland. We had a long day and we were able to have a cup of tea and some biscuits when we arrived. The house was large and clean. If I went back to Ireland, this would definitely be another stop. Gene's sightseeing advice was excellent as well.

Margaret and Gene were the nicest hosts and their B & B was extremely nice. It is a great location outside of Killarney and on the road to the Ring of Kerry. We need to get up early to head north and Margaret packed a take away breakfast for us. Gene gave us great advise on the sights and directions to get there. It was a very enjoyable stay.

This is a wonderful B&B that I would be more than happy to return to and could recommend to anyone. Very clean with lots of space in the rooms; homey and comfortable. Margaret and Gene are extraordinarily kind hosts with many tips for visitors. Breakfast every morning was some of the best we had on our holiday. Margaret kept coming out of the kitchen with more and more good food until we were bursting at the seams.

Pat and I chose Beniska House because it allowed easy access to all the peninsulas in the southwest. We stayed 5 nights with Margaret and Gene who welcomed us into their home, fed us great breakfasts, gave us little snacks for our hiking trips and told us where to go and how to get there. We took advantage of the walking path into town that starts just outside their door. We spent 2 weeks in Ireland at various B&B's and Beniska House was the best.

Margaret and Gene were very hospitable hosts. The rooms are very clean and quite large. Having a restaurant/pub next door was super convenient. We used their living/reception room for an evening get together and they provided wine glasses. The breakfast was delicious.
