Of all of the B&Bs in which we stayed throughtout our trip, Mount Royd Country Home was one of our favorites. The home itself is absolutely beautiful, as was our room. My daughter particularly enjoyed the small farm right in the backyard! Breakfast was absolutely outstanding, with homemade bread, an assortment of fruits, and orange cake, which deserves a review of its own! It was definitely the best thing we ate during our entire trip. Josephine was a wonderful hostess with a beautiful home and we recommend this B&B to any and everyone.

Exceptional place to stay! Close to Northern Ireland, clean, doting innkeepers and AMAZING breakfast! We’ve stayed at many B & B’s in both the US and Ireland and this one is a winner! If you don’t leave with a full belly after breakfast, then you didn’t take advantage of the fresh fruit spread, basket of home baked breads/scones and beautifully/tastefully prepared/presented breakfast! Oh, and you get one more sweet treat before you leave the table....home baked lemon or orange cake, typically served with curd. My husband & I got into a minor accident in town one of the evenings and Josephine was on the ready with advice, use of her house phone and a hot pot of tea! You want for nothing when you stay here.
