Charlie and Josephine are at the heart of this B&B. Their passion and dedication shine through in everything they do and have done in their time here. Their home is a stunning period residence and the decor that Josephine has expertly overseen reflects this. Charlie expertly looks after the stunning gardens. We were welcomed with a cup of tea and home baked cakes. A lovely touch that is not offered in all B&Bs. Here we were made to feel welcome on arrival. Our room was a beautiful bedroom and one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. Josephine and Charlie are a pleasure to interact with and they put their guests at ease the moment you meet them. The breakfasts are superb and beautifully presented. Josephine obviously loves her role and this is reflected in her attention to detail, her striving for perfection and often surpassing those standards, the attention to detail in the bed linen / matching towels in the bathroom, beauty products in the bedroom, sweets discretely placed in a wooden jewellery box and her exceptional taste in interior design. Mount Royd is a very special place but it's that wonderful couple, Charlie and Josephine who contribute substantially to it's uniqueness. Our experience here was exceptional. We're looking forward to returning in the not too distant future.

Josephine & Charlie were extremely welcoming. What a gorgeous house - lovely room. Breakfast was second to none - should have tried the Bailey's in the porridge! Thank you so much for sharing your home.

Dennis and I stayed 2 nights at Mount Royd. Our room was excellent and the breakfast was delicious. Their choices of offerings was amazing. When we arrived Josephine provided us with a lovely tea which was so appreciated after a long drive from Cork county. Josephine was also gracious in arranging for me to meet with the Montreath Historical Centre where I was able to discover a lot of useful information about the history of one of my ancestors. Margaret at the centre was particularly helpful as was Colm. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this B and B and its gracious hosts, Josephine and Charlie.
