Mount Royd is a stunning property, and Josephine and Charlie are the kindest, most considerate hosts of any place I have stayed. They are unobtrusive, but with loads of local knowledge and tips that lead us to places we hadn’t found in our own research. As for the breakfasts, well the freshness and variety of all the fruits, would shame a 5+ star eatery, and the hot food is delicious, and prepare fresh while you wait. All the additional treats that Josephine cooks and provides are also varied and very delicious. I wanted to sample Irish hospitality in a tradition BandB, well I think I hit the jackpot. Our room was lovely, and we scored a ground floor with a door opening to the garden, and a padlock next door with gorgeous sheep and rabbits to entertain us.
Thank you so much Josephine and Charlie.

Wonderful property. Extremely comfortable. Josephine and Charlie go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and deliver the little extras to make it so. The breakfast is second to none. A huge range of fresh fruit, cereals and cooked food.

Upon our arrival we were greeted with tea and snacks!
Home is in a great location to Londonderry and Carrigans. Great local pub walking distance. Josephine’s breakfast was the best we ever had at a B&B. Charlie’s quips topped it off.
We met two other couples during our stay and enjoyed our conversations.
Loved our 3 nights here!

We really appreciated the helpful and discreet welcome of Josephine and Charlie, the good advice they gave us to visit around, the comfortable and cosy bedrooms with so many little touches! The breakfast was something I had never seen before, everything fresh and home cooked, plentiful, memorable! We felt at home. Thank you

We spent two wonderful nights at this lovely B&B while searching nearby cemeteries for ancestor's graves.
The welcome was friendly and gracious, our room very spacious and with direct access to the glorious garden. Breakfast was the best we have experienced anywhere.
The recommendation to dine at the Fisherman's Catch was so spot on that we returned the second evening.
While a modest declutter would not go astray, we would certainly stay again. Unfortunately, with Australia being so far away, the opportunity will probably not arise.
