We had a lovely time at Springlawn. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, it offered a nice retreat from city of Galway but also close enough to easily visit Galway for meals and entertainment. Maura and Micheal were very warm hosts. The breakfasts were delicious, and the wide picture window offered a delightful view. We were gifted a rainbow out the window both mornings. The rooms were small but fine for the few hours spent in them. We would gladly recommend this B&B!

There were a number of positives. The location is quiet and the hosts are very warm and accommodating. Upon our arrival they helped us make a reservation at Moran’s - that was our chosen place and was accompanied by the host’s recommendation. Plenty of parking and windows that opened to let in the nice cool weather. The breakfast was filling and of good quality. The couple hosted together and you are in a home with a limited number of rooms. There are some cautions - the room we were in (#3) was very small and the bathroom was in a converted closet with the sink outside in the room. We were traveling with 2 small roll aboards and there was inadequate space in the room for both of them. We took one back to the car. The room was just a little to small to be completely comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay with Maura. Their home was very much like the B&B's I remember when I first started to visit Ireland. We picked up wine one evening and Maura put out Wine glasses, etc. for us so we could enjoy our beverages in the sitting room downstairs. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were superb. Until we meet again.....

Maura and her husband were dear and hospitable! The BnB was smaller than the others we stayed in - you felt welcomed into their actual home! Galway isn't far, but the traffic and parking were problematic for us. We found the wonderful Moran's Oyster Cottage and had the most delicious dinner we've had in a very long time! Lovely conversation with other guests in the dining room over a delicious breakfast. Recommend!

Our hostess Maura was very sweet but our party of 4 did not feel super comfortable for our 1-night stay. The pillows and bedding were very old and so were the towels; all in over-due need of replacement. Plus, we had to gather in one of our rooms to visit after returning from dinner because the hosts were occupying the only room designated for guests to gather. (We joked BYOB... "bring your own bed" because we had to sit on our twin beds to visit.) The breakfast was nice but under par compared to other B&B's.
