We are a long established family run B&B located within the Clifden town centre and along the Wild Atlantic Way. Clifden is the Capital and largest town in Connemara; consequently we make for a wonderful base for touring all of Connemara and the surrounding area. 

Kingstown House Bed & Breakfast is within walking distance of all the wonderful restaurants, shops and pubs within town. Clifden is well known for traditional Irish music; with many venues and numerous early options, so be sure to catch a session or two. So experience to the best of both worlds - stay within Clifden town centre and e xperience picturesque Connemara scenery and landscapes.

How to get here

We are located 77km (48 mi.) from Galway City and 66km (41 mi.) from Westport.  To find us, enter the Clifden Town Centre from the N59 at the Topaz service station into the one-way traffic.  We will be the 3rd house on the right with the red door and windows.  

Our B&B is approximately a 2-minutes for the Clifden bus stop in front of the library.  Buses run throughout the day from Galway to Clifden, as well as one bue which also runs to Roundstone.  So if you don’t have a car, you can visit Connemara via the bus.  Kindly refer to the Bus Eirean and/or Citylink websites for schedule and tickets.

We are approximately 2 1/2 from Shannon Airport and approximately 3 1/2 - 4 hours from Dublin Airport.

The b&b has a central location but is quiet. Good beds. We slept wonderful. Our room had a window to the garden. Breakfast was very good! Only small disadvantage: You need to park on the street. During the day you need to pay for parking (not during nights and weekends). Regina & Jim are very helpful! We can definitely recommend the place!

Hemos estado alojados en este magnifico B&B, la amabilidad de Regina & Jim ha estado maravillosa, muy atentos. La habitación para tres persona (Somos un matrimonio con un hijo mayor) muy bien, comoda. todo perfeccto. El desayuno insuperable, así como todo tipo de información y consejos. Insuperable!!!! Gracias por vuestra ambilidad.

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans ce B&B. La famille qui y vit est très accueillante et serviable! Les chambres sont propres et agréables. La région est sublime. Le petit-déjeuner est parfait aussi. Je recommande vivement.
