My partner and I spent 3 nights at Ardmor Country House at the beginning of June. Vera was so welcoming and we loved chatting with her before and after our daily excursions. She gave us great tips about exploring the Connemara region. The breakfast was amazing-- some of the best scones we've ever had!

My mom and I stayed at Ardmor for two nights at the end of May. Vera was so welcoming and kind when we arrived, spending a little time chatting, finding out where we'd been and what our upcoming plans were. We wanted to drive through the Connemara region but were tired as we were at the end of a busy vacation. Vera gave us a map with directions to follow that would allow us to see a lot of what we wanted to see without driving all day. She was absolutely wonderful, start to finish. The breakfast was delicious -- plenty of everything, very tasty, and homemade. I miss her pastries! I highly recommend staying at Ardmor. It's a beautiful setting with wonderful hosts.

We had an absolutely great stay. My suitcase was lost and Vera gave me a Jacket of her daughter. Her breakfast and baked goods were absolutely delicious. I would absolutely recommend staying in this BB to anyone.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ardmore Country House. We were famished upon our arrival, after a long day of driving and biking. Vera gave us a recommendation for The Forge Gastrobar in the nearby town of Moycullen. It was exactly what we needed. An enticing menu that proved to be a perfect choice. They also had local beers and the service was exceptional. We had told Vera that we would skip the next morning's breakfast in favor of a 7 a.m. departure for the Cliffs of Moher. She wasn't having any of it! She insisted that she would have our breakfast ready at 8 a.m. and we would not have any issues with the crowds if we left by 8:30. Her full Irish breakfast was delicious, and she was right about the crowds. We had a lovely time. I should mention that the room was cozy as could be, and the house was completely quiet. We never heard a peep from the other guests, except for our friendly conversations around the breakfast table before we headed off for the day. We even came in very late one night (after a terrific night of making new friends and buying rounds at O'Connor's Pub in Galway --- not to be missed!). We were careful to limit our noise, and we somehow successfully avoided detection! 😀 The next morning, we again had a delicious breakfast before packing up and leaving for the next leg of our journey. We would recommend Ardmore Country House to anyone who is visiting the area. It was a perfect place to have as a home base as we visited the Cliffs, the island of Inishmore, and the greater Galway Bay.
