This is a rural inn on a tidal cove; and it does have a pair of resident herons. There are many local attractions (not clubs - scenic, historic and archeological sites). We stayed 8 days, but the main attraction was the four star kitchen and the fresh seafood and produce featured there.

We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was wonderful and included with the room. We also had a very nice dinner in the restaurant one night. Restaurant is on the pricey side, but excellent. The rooms were not luxurious, but the beds were comfortable and the staff friendly and welcoming.

What a lovely place to stay: wonderful room with balcony and view over the harbour. A very good dinner in the restaurant and a perfect breakfast in the morning. Nice people too!

Perfect location to spend the night before starting my mizen head to malin head cycle the next morning. We were able to give our breakfast orders the night before as we needed an early start, and it was all served right on time, and top quality! No problem storing our bikes in the house overnight too
