Meet your host…

Mrs Eithne Brennan

For the past 34 years I have enjoyed welcoming guest into my home. I have met many fantastic people through the B&B over the years and many return to me time and again. I love to bake and make my own homemade preserves. I am up early in the mornings to ensure guests are treated to my freshly baked scones and brown bread. A warm welcome awaits you at Hillview Lodge Bed and Breakfast.

Just stayed one night on our holiday, but beautiful house very clean and comfortable Hosts were very friendly and accommodating, so was Bob the dog. Visited the Green Way for the Train which travels along the river edge which is worth a visit. Would have liked to stay in the area for longer however we had already made other arrangements.

While this B&B was not the most fancy place we stayed in during our vacation, Eithne and Danny more than compensated by being wonderful hosts. Eithne’s concern for my wife and sister and the colds they were nursing was exemplary, and Danny was a quiet but interesting soul as he tended to the yard and his bees. None of the bees stung me, so A+ for that, as well as the fresh honey served up at breakfast. If that didn’t make us feel at home, then the sweet attention Bob the Dog offered up did the trick. Lovely town close to Waterford and it’s attractions. There was a very nice pub just a short walk up the road, where the food was excellent and the libations were cold. Drop into The Sweep by all means, and take a peak at the beautiful throughbred horses on the walk there. Hillview also had the most comfortable lounge area of any B&B we stayed at, so be sure to set aside at least a few hours to relax and enjoy. Thanks for all of the warm and friendly hospitality.

Lovely place, gracious hosts, comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and my kids loved the dog! Very gracious hosts allowed us an early check-in to accommodate our busy schedule, and were helpful and pleasant throughout. Location is perfect -- great access both to Tramore and to Waterford.

Eithne was so very nice and accommodating. The beds are good, and the home cooked breakfast was delicious. This is a convenient location just a little way off the main highway to Waterford.
