A comfortable home in the beautiful lake lands of County Westmeath, Burren Lodge is a welcoming bed and breakfast. Just 2km from the bustling historic of Athlone, visitors can discover its rich heritage at Athlone Castle, admire great art at the Luan Gallery, indulge in a number of gourmet restaurants and sip a pint in Ireland’s oldest pub Sean’s Bar. Mary was lovely and very welcoming. We enjoyed chatting with her and learning about heating with peat. Very, very good breakfast and the accommodations excellent.

Very welcoming and a lovely place; really makes you feel like an invited guest; nearby restaurant when you don't want to go into town; Clonmacnoise is amazing!

Mary was a wonderful host and quite helpful with things to do and where to dine. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was superb with local smoked salmon as an option. We loved our stay!
