Trish was an incredible host. Of all of the B&Bs we stayed at during our trip, she seemed to be the most interested in talking to us about our experiences in Ireland Besides having very comfortable and private rooms, she went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. The B&B itself is about a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk from town. Not only did Trish recommend places in town for us to go, but she offered to drive us (no charge) to town, and gave us her personal cellphone number with instructions to call her when we were ready to come back to the house. This may not be a service that's offered regularly, but it shows how much Trish goes out of her way to make her guests comfortable. Trish even made us breakfast extra early due to our having to leave early in the morning to catch our flight. Her French Toast was incredible - I didn't know French Toast could be that good. I can't think of anything bad to say about this B&B it should be at the top of anyone's list staying in Bunratty.

my friend vicki and i stayed here our last night in ireland before our flight leaving from shannon airport. from the time we arrived to the time we left; trish was absolutely unbelievable as a host. recommendations to area restaurants; easy directions, and a fantastic tasting breakfast await any guests that have the privilege to stay here. my friend had asked for smoked salmon as part of her breakfast and trish didn't have any. she went out of here way and went to the store to get it and surprised her the next morning. wow! that's the kind of attention to detail you can expect if you stay here. we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend her bed and breakfast. it's proximity to the airport was also convenient.

Great location. Bunratty has a great castle and folk park close by with great food and stores next to it. Briar Lodge is all you want - clean, quiet, great breakfast. The hostess was very helpful with advice. Signage to the B&B was most helpful.
