6km from Swords

Meet your host…

Ms Patricia Butterly

I have been involved in the tourist industry since leaving school in 1980. In 1999, I opened a custom built B and B. I am from the area and have endless knowledge/recommendations on where to visit. I am married to Joe and we have two children. We, as a family love to welcome visitors from all over the globe. Come and stay, you will not be disappointed with the Irish hospitality at Brookfield Lodge.

Brookfield Lodge is a large family home purpose built B&B set on an acre of land. Most rooms are large, bright and airy with plenty of parking. We are only 7km from Dublin Airport and convenient to Dublin City, yet we have a country feel. There is a good bus service to City Centre from outside the door. Ideal for visiting Newgrange and surrounding areas. Fingal offers several excellent golf courses and your host Patricia will be happy to help with whatever plans you wish to make. You can sample some of our delicious home baking and breakfasts. You can complete the day with dinner in Winters Restaurant across the road.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon driving through Ireland in mid May 2018 and Brookfield Lodge was our favorite B&B! We stayed there for our last two nights in Ireland. We planned to book our accommodations while in Iteland so we could plan our itenerary as we go, but unfortunately we were not given a WiFi hub that we paid for with our rental car. This meant that the lovely owner Patricia had to track us down at our previous B&B in order to give us details and directions. So as a rule of thumb, always include where you are currently staying when booking a stay at a new location just in case you need to be reached. As to our stay, the Brookfield lodge was warm and welcoming with only a fifteen minute drive to either the airport or Dublin city for which Patricia gave a a map and detailed directions to find everything we asked for. Patricia has a genuine heart for people and the hospitality industry and she along with her family made our stay and travels as stress free and enjoyable as can be. She truly went above and beyond! She even saved our rental car’s battery by alerting us that lights had been left on! Our room was immaculate, spacious with perfectly placed windows that allowed for the best light. The bathroom was clean and functioned flawlessly. Additional brownie points for encouraging/enabling good recycling habits as described on and information sheet found in our rooms. Again, we are so grateful for the Brookfield lodge and will most definitely stay there the next time we visit Ireland.

The B&B is very well situated if you need a place close to the airport for an early flight. Dublin city centre is not too far away either. (We had a car, but there is a bus also). The family room was large and well equipped. Breakfast was nice with fresh fruit etc. The hostess is very dynamic and informed us well about possibilities for dinner.

We recently stayed here and what can I say...wonderful!!! Patricia was fantastic and nothing was too much. We had a family room and a room with 2 double beds. The rooms were immaculate and so comfortable with en-suit facilities. The breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice. Beautiful setting. Thanks Patricia for all your advise and a terrific stay

We had a good stay in a large room. Patrica and her husband are very nice and good hosts. The breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit, Yoghort, full Irisch or continental, what you preferred. Good beds. The only things w've missed, was shampoo, showergel and soap. In a 4 star accomodation it must be there.

Host's Reply:
Dear Lambert and Margaret Thank you for your feedback, I understand there was hand soap, Apologies for overlooking the shower gel and shampoo.. Thank you for your valued custom. Patricia

Beaucoup d'avantages: chambres bien équipées et spacieuses; excellent petit déjeuner; bonne accessibilité depuis le centre de Dublin (15/20'); calme; hôtesse dynamique et accueillante. Donc un très bon choix.
