Nice bedroom but the only common area was filled with the owner’s laundry taking up anyplace to sit. The owner Margaret was not very friendly. She would walk away while in the middle of a conversation. While there Margaret was most concerned with getting our voucher so she could get paid. Before going on our trip I printer out the vouchers but only had one for the bed and breakfast and we were staying in 4 different places. I explained that to Margaret and asked if I could email it to her or if she could make a copy. This was all after I showed her the voucher and she told me it was wrong and had me searching through all our papers and emails for about 15 minutes. Friends who were also traveling with us then saw the voucher and stated that’s exactly like the one they gave her and then she accepted it. During this time she continued to berate me and would not let it go even after I repeatedly apologized. She finally did give me copy but was very put out. This was our first stop of 4 bed and breakfast we were staying at. When we went to the other places they all told us that they didn’t need a copy, that all the information was on the booking that they had. I would never stay at this Bed and breakfast again.

We were unusual in that we had booked and stayed 12 nights. Margaret and Ashley Lodge were everything we had hoped and more. Location is convenient, with pubs and shops nearby. Parking easy. Roads to local sights and Wexford are simple to navigate. Room was comfortable and breakfast was simply wonderful. The only slight problem was that internet was a bit spotty the last few days. Thanks Margaret for our best B&B experience in years!

It was great at Ashley Lodge, very good breakfast. Margaret is a wonderful host. We only stayed one night so we had no time to explore the surroundings -maybe next time.

Our stay at Ashley Lodge was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. It was frustrating that the satellite navigational coordinates that are given on the B&B Ireland website took us to the railroad station, which is probably more than a mile from Ashley Lodge.

Nice home, host was pleasant and kind. Food was great. The location was wonderful, went to the oldest Windmill in Ireland, using the key we retrieved from the pub next door to it. Fascinating. Nice area and close to our next stop the Heritage Museum.
