First stop in Ireland. Amazing B&B, Beautiful house in a lovely setting. Tom and Maureen could not have been better hosts. Tom gave us some great advice for dinner in Kenmare and sightseeing through the Beara Peninsula. Spectacular views with hardly any traffic. Breakfast in the morning was very tasty and plentiful. First experience with a bed and breakfast, Definitely would return to Birchwood.

Awesome hosts! Very welcoming and friendly. The B&B was clean and the scenery was beautiful. We would highly recommend anyone to stop by for a visit. Tom was extremely helpful and the suggestions he made even prompted us to change part of the plans for our trip.

We were in Dublin on business and wanted a few days in the country before we flew out. Birchwood was a great setting for this. Tom was hospitable and provided us with some great ideas of things to see, places to eat and what to avoid given the tough weather. A great country setting.

When we arrived at Tom's B&B, we both noticed the scenery around this property, so beautiful! Our room was overlooking all of this and Tom almost immediately offered us tea and sweets. He asked us what we were interested in doing or seeing while we had a two night stay there! He provided maps and answered any questions about the area. We had a wonderful stay here and the breakfasts that he provided were over the top!

Tom was the perfect host! When we arrived he made us a cup of coffee with cakes and was extremely helpful with planning our trip. The rooms are really comfortable and clean. The highlight was the breakfast, which was entirely freshly cooked by Tom, really delicous and fills you up for the day. Plus the view out of the room is gorgeous. We will definetly come back and highly recommend visiting Tom and his B&B.
