We had a wonderful experience. Mairin and Gerry treated us almost like family. The food was excellent with fresh fruit, cereal, nuts, and basically whatever we wanted cooked for breakfast, whether it was a full Irish breakfast, french toast, or pancakes. They were great about giving us suggestions for what to see and do while we were there. I would highly recommend them.

I almost felt like I was family, even though it turned out we aren't -- my grandmother was a Murphy from Belmullet, so before I arrived I wrote and asked about these Murphys and others in town. It turned out that we are not related, but Mrs. Murphy went out of her way to help, referring me to others in town and urging me to speak to them. (I spoke to a lady in town who also so helpful and kind, but alas, we aren't related). By the time I left, I felt I should have stayed longer. . . . And I won't forget the facilities: a nice room with an excellent view, good food, and in a beautiful region that deserves more attention.
