Meet your host…

Kathy Brosnan

Applecroft House is a family run bed and breakfast, owned and looked after by Kathy and Don Brosnan. The photo shows us on one of our many loved walks in the Killarney National Park with the Muckross Lake and Torc Mountain in the background. We have been running our bed and breakfast for 16yrs now and love what we do. Don retired last year, so he helps out with the daily chores of making our house run smoothly, he likes to golf and we have a boat on the lake so fishing is his other passion.

We loved our stay at Applecroft! Kathy made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. She was very helpful with finding things to do locally in town as well as our daily adventures. She offered a variety of yummy breakfast options to chose from. The littlest of touches like an ice maker and adaptors available to borrow are only a small part of what makes Applecroft stand out above the rest. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We look forward to returning to Applecroft on our next trip to Ireland!

Elegant, comfortable and welcoming! This home is located on a quiet country lane just outside of town. It’s close to the national park and amenities, but peaceful with a beautiful garden. Thank you, Kathy. Happy crocheting!

What a lovely place to stay. The room was very spacious and spotless with a lovely view of the garden. The breakfast was the best we encountered during our time in Ireland. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend Applecroft House!

Applecroft House is a well-appointed B&B; our room was large and beautiful with a view of the lovely gardens. Everything you could want! Kathy served us a good breakfast with some choices we hadn't been offered elsewhere (cheese toast, warm scones!). It was close enough for us to walk into town for supper, so we were very happy with this place!
