Mary and Pat were wonderful hosts. They were very informative and amiable. We stayed two nights which enabled us to spend time getting to know them. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Mary even put the things that I had washed in her dryer. Their house is very convenient to the Galway docks as we were going to the Aran Islands. Will definitely book if we are ever in Galway again.

Thank you to Mary and Pat. We would echo all the great things others have said about staying here as we also felt so at home after only one night with promises to return if we ever have the chance as it is a long way from Alberta Canada. If you need a B&B in the Galway area, this is the place to stay.

Following a rainy tour of the Cliffs of Moher, but a wonderful drive along the coast up to Galway, we arrived at the Birchgrove House where we were greeted by Mary and Pat Curran. Mary helped us troubleshoot our International calling issues and provided wisdom in resolving our luggage dilemma. We had a lovely walk downtown and a traditional Irish dinner of fish and chips to top off our day. The Birchgrove House is lovely, situated in the country, was incredibly peaceful and very comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty and hit the spot before we began our trip to Trim Castle. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with Mary and Pat, leaving there with a hug goodbye. We felt like family! We will definitely share our experience at the Birchgrove House with our friends and family!
