Thank you to Mary and Pat. We would echo all the great things others have said about staying here as we also felt so at home after only one night with promises to return if we ever have the chance as it is a long way from Alberta Canada. If you need a B&B in the Galway area, this is the place to stay.

Following a rainy tour of the Cliffs of Moher, but a wonderful drive along the coast up to Galway, we arrived at the Birchgrove House where we were greeted by Mary and Pat Curran. Mary helped us troubleshoot our International calling issues and provided wisdom in resolving our luggage dilemma. We had a lovely walk downtown and a traditional Irish dinner of fish and chips to top off our day. The Birchgrove House is lovely, situated in the country, was incredibly peaceful and very comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty and hit the spot before we began our trip to Trim Castle. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with Mary and Pat, leaving there with a hug goodbye. We felt like family! We will definitely share our experience at the Birchgrove House with our friends and family!

When you stay with Mary and Pat, you feel like you are with family. We LOVED our stay at this B and B. They were warm and welcoming and very informative. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and breakfast was delicious. My two teenage sons said they loved it as well. My family heritage is from Galway and Mary and Pat even helped me with my ancestry search. I even discovered a cousin I didn't know I had! We highly recommend and would definitely stay again! Thank you Mary and Pat for everything!

We had an enjoyable 2 days with Mary and Pat. The room was comfortable, well decorated and served our needs. Mary prepared delicious breakfasts for us, which always included a colourful selection of fresh fruit artfully arranged on the plate. My husband and I were on holiday from Canada and had done a good job of “getting lost”. Pat and Mary were very helpful with perfect directions and suggestions for a scenic route which we enjoyed. Ireland is a feast for the eyes. Thanks Mary and Pat for your hospitality. You made us fell like family.
