We had a great stay at Chestnut Lawn B&B. Christina and Freddy are very welcoming and helpful. Our son didn't like the curvy roads down from Northern Ireland to Sligo very much and got rid of his lunch on the way to the B&B. Christina was so generous and washed the dirty clothes - something we wouldn't have expected from anyone doing for us. The breakfast was very good - the best brown bread we had during our entire stay in Ireland! I would recommend booking direktly on their B&B website, since B&B Ireland keeps the deposit one places at booking.

Christina & Freddie have a lovely home, & are most welcoming. The breakfast is excellent, & we both would recommend them to anyone visiting the area.

The owner refused to accept my booking for a double ensuite for the price indicated on-line saying he was loosing money and so I was forced to take a non-ensuite room but at the price I was paying for the ensuite. Thus I paid €202 (including commission) for 3 nights for a €60 a night room.(€180) I have already contacted B&B Ireland about this but have heard nothing back. I was offered the ensuite room the next day but said no as I had been made feel uncomfortable taking it as a result of the day before. Also they do not take credit card despite the online site saying they do. I would not book this property again on the B@B Ireland web site. The room was comfortable, breakfast was good. The owners were pleasant and helpful after the initial difficulty.
