We had a great stay here. Gerry and his wife are both wonderful hosts. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast great. A number of people have commented that the B&B is somewhat dated. It certainly isn't new, but everything is clean and well-maintained. I don't expect every place to look like it has just leaped out of a magazine photo. This is a real house where very friendly, real people live. Next time we're passing through this area, it will be a top choice.

Potentially a great B&B but I'm afraid it is a bit too worn for a good score. The whole place needs a lick of paint and a good clean. Gerry the host was great, very chatty and knowledgeable and willing to pass on information.

This was our first B&B experience and also our first visit to Ireland. Abraham (Gerry) was a great host, he went out of his way to help me and husband, he used his own car to give us a ride and was even nice enough to pick us back up. Although the house needs alittle upgrading and TLC it was clean, warm and inviting. Gerry does a great job with breakfast. He is a wonderful person to have a conversation with. I would recommend staying here.

Highest recommendation. TL:DR Extremely comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, flexible breakfast hours,, great wifi, exceptionally wonderful hosts. We are so incredibly lucky we booked here. Full story, we messed up our nights and learned just before 21:00 that we were booked here instead of in Dublin that night. We called the B&B and they still had our room and were willing to wait the hour plus it took us to drive there. On the way we learned our GPS was at least a decade out of date and had no idea where the B&B was. FortunatelyGerry could offer us precise instructions from Rathdrum. Not only that, he waited outside the door so we could be sure we got the right house. Upon arrival, despite the fact that it was 22:30 and he had to be exhausted, he took the time to make sure we knew how to work the electric shower, checked when we wanted breakfast, and made sure we had the wifi password and anything else we needed. He seemed dedicated to making sure our vacation was pleasant, going above and beyond what could reasonably be required. And, despite the fact that we were terrible B&B guests, Gerry never let a hint of any sort of annoyance show, on the contrary he and his daughter seemed genuinely happy to have us there and worked to make our vacation the best it could be. We slept that night in some of the comfiest beds on our trip and breakfast the next morning was delicious. The wifi was fast and reliable. In short, booking here was probably the difference between our stay in Ireland starting off on the great foot it did and spending our first night in the country sleeping in our car, cursing our stupidity.

Location is good. Calm situation easy to reach. Disappointed by the house and the bedroom. This has been a beautiful house but everthing is old and worn : wallpapers get off, carpets worn, windows not clean and full of spiderwebs. Beds were ok and bedlinen clean. Breakfast was average. Have been in far lovelier B&Bs for the same price. Sorry, usually I prefer to leave no comment than to leave a bad one but I hope the comment will contribute to a change to the better.
