Galway was a last minute addition to our trip. And we were so glad we picked this place! Kathleen was a wonderful host. The room was neat and clean. We easily took the bus to Eyre Square for dinner and took a cab back to the b&b. It was close to downtown Galway while still being quiet at night. We recommend this place 100%.

Wonderful place. Excellent breakfast. Hostess turned us on to an absolutely fabulous bus tour through Galway Tours to the Cliffs of Moher. Also assisted in directions for parking in Galway.

We had a wonderful stay at Avoca House. Very kind and friendly, Kathleen cooks a great traditional breakfast including her delicious scones! The rooms are very clean. The house is extremely close to the bus stop which takes you right to city centre. Kathleen was very helpful and clear with directions to get to Quay St using the bus and driving to and getting to the Aran Islands.

I had an excellent stay at Avoca House. Parking provided outside, friendly welcome from Kathleen with tea and biscuits. My room was comfortable and well appointed. Bus stop outside the door with good connections to centre. - and the breakfast was great!

Kathleen is a delightful host, and most helpful with itinerary suggestions, bus schedules and travel tips. I was under the weather on the first morning and she couldn't have been more kind and attentive. Her home is clean, with all necessary amenities and had ample room for me and my two travel companions. I would definitely stay again and hope to do so!
