Oh boy, where to start. Well I feel like I hit upon the true "Luck of The Irish", when I booked with Kathleen and Peter. It was an intuitive hit from B & B Ireland..which was recommended by a now American, but Irish born dual citizen friend. I liked that it looked warm and cozy. But honestly, the pictures do not do the Avoca House justice!!!! It was SPOTLESS, warm and SO SO Quiet...But truly THE BEST part of all (and an unexpected blessing) was KATHLEEN!!!..She was SO SO helpful and giving without being intrusive...a gift she has. I was travelling as a 61 year old female.., first to Europe and therefore Ireland. I could go on and on...but this review would then turn into a book :).. Truly, I feel like I was cared for by a loving long lost family member, and miss seeing her to be honest..She runs an amazing top notch Bed and Breakfast and works her arse off as the Irish would say...never a complaint and always going above and beyond without intruding..Cannot recommend this B&B enough. Thank you again Kathleen XO.

Great convenient place to see Galway City. Kathleen was great and our favorite part of the visit, the farmer's market, was due to her suggestion. Excellent hostess.

Galway was a last minute addition to our trip. And we were so glad we picked this place! Kathleen was a wonderful host. The room was neat and clean. We easily took the bus to Eyre Square for dinner and took a cab back to the b&b. It was close to downtown Galway while still being quiet at night. We recommend this place 100%.

Wonderful place. Excellent breakfast. Hostess turned us on to an absolutely fabulous bus tour through Galway Tours to the Cliffs of Moher. Also assisted in directions for parking in Galway.

We had a wonderful stay at Avoca House. Very kind and friendly, Kathleen cooks a great traditional breakfast including her delicious scones! The rooms are very clean. The house is extremely close to the bus stop which takes you right to city centre. Kathleen was very helpful and clear with directions to get to Quay St using the bus and driving to and getting to the Aran Islands.
