This was our first B & B in Ireland and after a long day driving thru Connemara we were tired. This is a great location to be close to Galway but not downtown. She was a great hostess and the breakfast was superb.

We really enjoyed our stay at Avoca House. Kathleen was a wonderful hostess, providing information on how to use the buses, where to get off, etc. The breakfasts were excellent. When I return to Ireland, this B&B will be on my list of places to stay.

Oh boy, where to start. Well I feel like I hit upon the true "Luck of The Irish", when I booked with Kathleen and Peter. It was an intuitive hit from B & B Ireland..which was recommended by a now American, but Irish born dual citizen friend. I liked that it looked warm and cozy. But honestly, the pictures do not do the Avoca House justice!!!! It was SPOTLESS, warm and SO SO Quiet...But truly THE BEST part of all (and an unexpected blessing) was KATHLEEN!!!..She was SO SO helpful and giving without being intrusive...a gift she has. I was travelling as a 61 year old female.., first to Europe and therefore Ireland. I could go on and on...but this review would then turn into a book :).. Truly, I feel like I was cared for by a loving long lost family member, and miss seeing her to be honest..She runs an amazing top notch Bed and Breakfast and works her arse off as the Irish would say...never a complaint and always going above and beyond without intruding..Cannot recommend this B&B enough. Thank you again Kathleen XO.
