Haynestown Bridge
A91 RX94

A large, modern home in scenic County Louth, Heritage bed and breakfast offers authentic Irish hospitality. Only 3km from the pretty seaside village of Blackrock and 4km from bustling Dundalk, guests can enjoy the majestic scenery of Dundalk Bay and the rugged Cooley Mountains. Visitors will have an enjoyably busy stay with horse riding, water sports, mountain walks, beach strolls and golf all within reach of the house. Host Teresa Byrne pampers guests with delicious breakfasts and gladly shares her wealth of local knowledge. Private car parking is available at the house.

How to get here

The house is 700m from M1 motorway, east of the N1/N52 dual carriageway.

From Dublin city/Dublin Airport: Take the M1, leave the motorway at exit 16 for Dundalk South/Ardee N52 interchange. From the roundabout take the Dundalk exit and on this carriageway you will approach traffic lights. About 20m before these lights, turn left and immediately right following the signs for Haynestown. This will enable you to cross over the dual carriageway. From here you continue to follow the signs for Haynestown, 150m by the garden centre over a narrow railway bridge, left 200m and the house is the second on the left. From Dundalk follow signs for M1 turn left at the traffic lights after Xerox.

Teresa was super nice and welcoming. I had to email to say we would be arriving late and there was no problems. Teresa recommended a nice restaurant. The room was lovely, I was cold all day and was delighted to find out my bed had a heating pad. I was so cozy all night. There was a nice selection for breakfast. I would stay here again if in the area.

We did not meet Teresa, but Michael was the perfect host in her absence. He responded promptly when we sent e-mail warning of late arrival from the airport. We found the house easily, immaculately clean and attractive with beautiful flowers. Michael was welcoming and pointed us to Sexton's pub nearby for Guiness and excellent chowder. We enjoyed good conversation with him while enjoying two lovely breakfasts in the cheery dining room. All our needs were anticipated and met. Can't recommend more highly.
