Meet your host…

Geraldine Gibbons

Geraldine loves to share her experience of life in Drumcliff with visitors to her home and the only thing warmer than the welcome extended is the cooked breakfast, just one part of the large menu available. As a 'blow in' herself, Geraldine has taken great pride and interest in learning about and visiting places of interest such as the vast number of archaeological sites in this corner of Ireland. She can then impart as much information as possible to her guests.

We had an amazing trip, in large part due to the generous hospitality of people like Geraldine. I stayed with two friends at Yeats Lodge, where we were greeted at the door and shown us our rooms. Breakfast was fantastic and we spent an hour just chatting with Geraldine and her husband. The food was excellent and the rooms were so cozy. Loved it! And can’t wait to visit Ireland again. When i do, I’ll know where to stay!

The location was very beautiful and our room was very spacious. Breakfast was exceptionally tasty and we certainly didn't leave hungry. The night we arrived, the host's daughter checked us in and showed us to our room. The next morning we met our host and she was more than accommodating. The host was very helpful and even let my wife use her curling iron and explained that she would take us around the town if we would like. The only downside was that there were very few places to eat and the mainly place to eat was very snooty.

We really enjoyed our stay at Yeats lodge and had a lovely time talking to Geraldine and learning about the area. We were able to stop along our way to see a few beautiful things we would have otherwise missed had Geraldine not told us. We also loved that there were sheep and hearing about her chickens. It was a wonderful stay!
