The room given was dirty! It needed deep cleaning. The room was damp and the “damp traps” were almost full of water. The smoke detector in an adjoining room was hanging open with no battery. We were given mouldy bread at breakfast. When we showed the mould there was no reaction from the host. Thoroughly disgusting!

Our hostess was great. She was friendly and gave us directions to town. Everything was within walking distance, very convenient. Breakfast was nice. The room was clean and had everything we needed. I would recommend.

Host was helpful on what to do in town for the evening. Dinner recommendation was great. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. The room was a little small and there was someone on the other side of our wall. The walls were thing enough that we could hear snoring all night.

Host's Reply:
Matt, I’m so sorry you had that disturbance with your sleep, the guest in the room next you must have been snoring exceptionally loud, as I’ve never had a complaint of this kind,, again I’m so sorry please except my apology.....Your sincerely. Helen

Helen is a great hostess and helpful with things to do in the area. This B&B is close enough to walk into town to visit pubs or the castle. Excellent breakfast and great hospitality. Downside was the WiFi didn’t work in my bedroom and the TV wasn’t working. The rooms were a bit small, but adequate.

Host's Reply:
So sorry you had difficulties with WiFi and tv... as all tv are new sometimes guests press all buttons on control piece.. I don’t know why WiFi wasn’t working for you! Please accept my apology Kink regards Helen

Big act when we arrived trying to let on she made a terrible mistake, but we both knew, as it was obvious, she gave our room away on purpose and gave us a dingy small twin bed room next to the front door. Other comments on here saying the same thing. This is despite booking almost 2 months in advance. Won't be staying here again.
