Location, Location, Location! Best B&B we stayed at in terms of location. We parked our car and walked to The Locke. We stayed out late, drank a lot of beer and even did some Irish dancing. Such a fun night! The quality of the room & breakfast were average (we never met the owner of the B&B) - but we would definitely return due to the location.

Our worst B&B in Ireland on our 9 day trip. There was no one available to meet us at our check in time. After waiting 20 minutes a gentleman arrived. He said the host was not available because she was preparing to leave to winter in the Canary Islands. He showed us our room and we were very disappointed. It was damp and extremely outdated. The shower head was broken, vanity light was out and we did not have an iron available to press our clothes the following morning. We were the only guests in the home and never did see the host. She was apparently there during the night since we heard doors closing and items being moved around on the lower level throughout the night which made it impossible to sleep well. When we were ready to leave the following morning we were instructed (with a note) to leave our B&B voucher on the desk and there were 2 sacks left for us for what was to be our breakfast. We were left warm yogurt, meat & cheese sandwiches and fruit. Needless to say that since we heard her leave at approximately 5 am and we did not get downstairs at 8:30am we were not eating anything but the fruit for fear of getting ill. She should never have taken on guests if she could not accommodate them appropriately. Had we known this may have been an issue we could have easily chosen a proper B&B elsewhere.

Nice little B&B close to the city center. The hostess is wonderful and very helpful with local places to see and directions. She cooks up a great breakfast too. I was in the top floor room and the floorboards creaked a LOT, not sure how noisy it is to the rooms just below.

Very nice. Welcomed with open arms. It was as if we just saw a family member for the first time in ages. Easy walk into Limerick city center. Had a very good dinner recommendation.

Helen was very sweet, accommodating and funny. Her home is very near to the city, her recommendation to The Locke was superb! We took a nice stroll to the city, ate amongst the Irish and other tourist and it was an amazing night after a long drive. We stayed in her highest room available. I do not recommend that room. The shower has no water pressure and loses the heat really fast due being on the third floor. The room needs a bit of an upgrade, more specifically the bathroom. The carpet in the bathroom leaves a smell of mildew which was not pleasing. However, the rest of the house was nice and clean. I would definitely return and try her other rooms.
