Jim and Carol have now lived in Union Hall for 15 years. Jim is originally from Skibbereen, Carol is from England, they have two children who will often be found helping out in the B&B and Gardens. We both love the B&B and have made some wonderful friends since we have been open and hope to make more so come and join us.

We had a very pleasant stay here! Beautiful location nestled on a hill just minutes from Union Hall with a few nice pubs to enjoy a pint and some good food. It was a central location - we traveled to Blarney and Cobh from here and it wasn’t a very long drive. Our hosts were friendly offering to help with a fishing excursion and directions. The breakfasts were delicious and the room spacious and clean with a very modern bathroom.

We had such a great stay here! Breakfast was delicious and the room was so comfortable and spaceous. We wish we could have stayed longer, but hopefully we will be back again soon! The ‘Atlantic Sea Kayaking’ trip is also a definite must try!

Amazing house and garden, it just felt like home. Great place to relax and come down, perfect for holiday and forgetting the daily trouble. Very professional and well organized B&B. Good offer for breakfast meals, pancakes were very tasty and everything homemade, not instant. Carol and Jim were lovely hosts, very friendly and kind, interested in their guests and ambitioned to make you a pleasant stay in Ireland. One of the best B&B we had!

One of my favorite B&B's on our trip - absolutely beautiful home and property. Our room and bathroom were very large and clean. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. It was a nice change to have a selection at breakfast, and everything we had was very good. We didn't have a lot of spare time, but there were a lot of nice outdoor patio areas to sit with a great view. Would definitely recommend!

Lid-Ardagh is a wonderful place to stay ... beautiful location - so quiet and peaceful ! Our room was super comfy with a fantastic view of rolling hills looking out towards the sea. Carol and Jim were warm and hospitable ... and extremely knowledgeable about the local area and it’s history ... and the breakfast was great ! It’s a short walk from the small village of Union Hall with its picturesque harbour, pubs and other amenities. We had a very enjoyable three days there and would definitely love to return if we’re ever in Ireland again !
