Lissyclearig Thatch Cottage

Lissyclearig Thatch Cottage was like stepping into a storybook! Everything was so cozy and we loved all the little touches. Our host friendly and made us a delicious breakfast.

It was a very nice stay, Carmel is a wonderful host, we felt like at home. Absolutely recommended :)

We stayed at this B&B for three nights and it was one of the best stays we had in Ireland! The cottage is conveniently located 5 minutes from Kenmare, an easy drive even for those unfamiliar with Irish roads. It's adorable inside and out with the lush garden outside and homey interior that feels personal and welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable with the attached bathrooms and the rustic decor. Our hostess was kind and accommodating to changes in our party made at the last minute. Our favorite part was the Irish breakfast: plentiful, fresh, and so satisfying! It was overall a wonderful experience and I'd highly recommend this cottage to anyone traveling in the area.

Carmel was such an inviting host, the cottage was a perfect base for our party of 6 to explore Kenmare and the Ring of Kerry. Breakfast was great, all the neat restaurants and shops are a few minutes drive away while the cottage itself is set in a peaceful setting perfect for a relaxing stay. We hope to come again some day!

We had a wonderful stay at Lissyclearig Thatch Cottage!! The decor is so cozy and reminded us of staying in a cabin, but with all of the modern comforts and amenities. The Irish breakfast was amazing - delicious and plentiful!! Carmel was kind enough to show us a map of the Ring of Kerry and provided great suggestions for navigating the drive!! We even got to meet Tarzan, the cat - he was very sweet and friendly :) Great stay - would highly recommend!!
