Carmel and her husband were excellent hosts. The thatched cottage was just what one would expect in Ireland, just gorgeous. The location was very quiet, yet a short drive to Kenmare. The room was spacious and very clean. Davey cooked a great breakfast. His fishing and hunting trophies were amazing. He told us where we would see deer and we saw them !! Highly recommend Lissyclearig Thatch Cottage.

Carmel's house is straight out of a fairytale. The pictures didn't disappoint, and we were enchanted by it. When we arrived we were greeted by a warm welcome from Carmel - shortly only outshined by her dog's affectionate ways. Rocky stole our hearts!! Breakfast was fresh and yummy, the bed was comfortable, and yes you'll hear a bit of a squeak on the floors as you walk, but it's all part of the charm. We absolutely loved our stay, and hope to return soon. In the meantime, wishing you & Rocky much health!

Unfortunately because of an unobtainable confirmation from B&B Ireland we only had the pleasure of paying not visiting. Thank you

Darling home, if staying there don’t stay in bedroom one, you hear all the noise from people walking upstairs, all the noise from the front door, and all the noise from the cars pulling in. We really didn’t get any rest because the people upstairs were walking around til midnight, and then someone came in drunk at 2:30 in the morning and the car that dropped them off was loud and pulled in right next to our window that we had open for fresh air. Then there were guests that we’re leaving at 5:30 in the morning going in and out. The food was good and the home was clean. Just not peaceful.

Thank you, I am glad you liked our home , and so sorry about the noise on the night, this has not happened in the past and was a once off, I am really sorry you had to experience this, as regards the people leaving early this too was out of my control, I do hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Ireland and we appreciate you visiting our home. Kind Regards Carmel
