Of the B&Bs we stayed in during our week in Ireland this was the most disappointing. Timing is everything I suppose and her grandchildren were there when we arrived and the house was very busy. The stairway upstairs is on an automatic light and it does not really turn on until you are halfway up the stairs which are very dark and steep. It just felt a little unwelcoming. I guess I understand the desire to plan ahead but I do not usually try and decide breakfast the night before. It is in a good location to see Blarney and our hostess was very pleasant.

Margaret is absolutely amazing! So kind and helpful! Her house is beautiful with a great porch and backyard and sitting room. One night we were exhausted so we picked up a pizza and bottle of wine and sat outside. It was lovely! Breakfast was delicious! House is in a perfect location to visit Blarney (walking distance far)! Our room was a bit small for 3 people. We had a great stay.

We really enjoyed our one night stay with Margaret at Davmar! The rooms were roomy and clean and so comfortable. The location was perfect for us for our adventures in Blarney! Margaret was so friendly and kind. We loved that we could pre-order our breakfast the evening before. She was very accommodating of my daughter's dietary requirements as she has Celiac disease. Margaret provided a delicious Gluten free breakfast for her. We would certainly stay at Davmar again!

Davmar was charming. Clean and close to town. Margaret gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner as well. One of our favorite stops on our trip.

My fiancé and I stayed one night here in May when we drove to visit the Blarney Castle. The Blarney Village is close to other restaurants, a convenience store, and another hotel - probably less than a 5 minute drive from the B&B. We enjoyed the walking path just down the road from our B&B as well. The hosts here were so friendly and they also let us check in later than the 6pm time after we called ahead. The room, bed, and bathroom were BY FAR the nicest we stayed in of all 6 of our B&Bs throughout Ireland. The breakfast was also good. The only downfall was that the guy in the next room was snoring so loud that it shook our bed.. thank goodness for ear plugs! Definitely recommend this place.
