A perfect spot to see the Gap of Dunloe with our host John guiding the jaunting car through the narrow road. Also, a good spot for dinner down the road at Kate's Kearney Cottage with good food and Irish music/dancing. (Could have done without the tour bus however ;>) ) Traveled the Ring of Kerry starting here and John was quite helpful in what should be stops along the way. Thank You!

The Ferris Wheel B&B was wonderful! John and Nora were wonderful and kind. The home was clean and comfortable. And the location was perfect as it was close to activities nearby and had an amazing view in the back area of the mountains. My sister left her watch behind and Nora was more than helpful on getting it back to her, customer service is amazing! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting the gap of Dunloe/Killarney area.

We were very disappointed with the Ferris Wheel after reading the great reviews. There is no communal lounge to be able to relax in with friends after a long day out. The bathrooms are definitely different, effectively being one large shower with a portable screen to shield the toilet, washbasin and towels from getting wet. The breakfast was barely as described, with no yogurt without asking for it and then you got a small helping of plain yogurt in a bowl. Anything that was described as eggs actually meant one egg. There was very little fresh fruit that looked to be days old. Pot of tea for 2 people just gave you sufficient for 2 cups with 1 tea bag. If you asked for more, you got some hot water to top the teapot up. The beds where so uncomfortable for our friends, that they had virtually no sleep the 2 nights we were there. Overall, John gave us the impression that the place is run on a very tight budget and he does not have the charisma of his wife, yet he is the one fronting the clients. By chance our friends did get to meet Nora briefly (we did not), but they mentioned that she had a much warmer personality. A shame about this place since the house and location have the potential to be great.

John and Nora were fantastic hosts! They provided us with a wealth of information for the surrounding area, and provided a fantastic breakfast. The room was great, very comfortable and had a gorgeous view. Kate Kearney's cottage just a short drive or walk was perhaps some of the best food we ate while in Ireland, and the Gap of Dunloe is a definite must see while visiting.
