Woodlands is a 4-star award-winning modern bed and breakfast only minutes walk from the village of Oughterard, the gateway to Connemara, in County Galway. How to get here

On the N59 Galway to Clifden Road, approximately 25 kms Galway city to Town of Oughterard. As you approach the town take first left Cregg Rd. Woodlands B&B 500 yards up the Cregg Rd.

We were greeted very warmly by Barbara and John in their lovely B&B. The rooms were big and tidy, with beautiful views of their big yard. Barbara made a reservation for us at Connemara Greenway, a gem of a restaurant with very creative presentations of seafood and meat. Delicious! We were able to walk the half mile into town from the B&B, and enjoyed seeing the many shops there. We all had the Irish breakfast, served by John, that was hearty and very good. This is a pleasant, tidy and welcoming B&B that we'd recommend to anyone traveling in the Galway/Connemara area.

A very nice home to stay in. It was clean and comfortable. Barbara was very sweet and prepared a delicious breakfast. Plus, it was a close walk into town.
