Woodlands is a 4-star award-winning modern bed and breakfast only minutes walk from the village of Oughterard, the gateway to Connemara, in County Galway. The hosts at the luxurious guest accommodation pride themselves on offering a friendly easy-going atmosphere where guests’ needs are paramount. The rooms are large, bright and lavishly decorated with comfortable clean beds. A traditional Irish or continental breakfast is served daily in the grand dining room which is bright and spacious.

How to get here

On the N59 Galway to Clifden Road, approximately 25 kms Galway city to Town of Oughterard. As you approach the town take first left Cregg Rd. Woodlands B&B 500 yards up the Cregg Rd.

Wonderful location for exploring this area of Ireland. We stayed 2 nights, going north one day and south the next. The nearby village of Oughterard is within easy walking distance. Barbara was a wonderful host and provided excellent breakfasts and conversation.

Barbara was a wonderful host. Our room was lovely and our breakfast was delicious. Barbara was the epitome of Irish hospitality!. I highly recommend Woodlands .

We stayed 2 nights, easy travel to Aran islands, from Oughterard. Barbara was a good host. Enjoyed exploring the Sky Road and the countryside. Excellent Irish breakfast.

Great host, great location. This is a good base for exploring the Connemara area, including some nice gems like the Sky Road. Woodlands is mere blocks from the little town of Oughterard, with a fantastic pub (live music) and shopping. Barbara is quite helpful and provides outstanding breakfasts.
