We stayed at Jacob's Wells for 4 days and had an amazing time. The place is clean, staff are friendly and helpful. The pub downstairs was great and if you stay there you MUST (as a matter of principle) try their Brie cheese.
Before going there, I read about the owner (Helen being somewhat stern and found it to be true once we got there, she wasn't exactly mean but was definitely stern bothering on unfriendly and even though she had never met me, she insisted she knew me as soon as we met, when I pressed on how she would know me without even mentioning my name (nor my room number, nor any other identifier that tied to booking) she insisted it was her job to do so although that was clear a bunch of baloney. We were the only blacks staying there that week and someone OBVIOUSLY mentioned this to her. Her response was a bit condescending (which is really NOT the word i want to use here but I'll leave it at that).
Other than Helen (the owner), our stay here was very enjoyable!

Great location for visiting Wicklow. Plenty of parking off the street. Room spacious, quiet and clean with comfortable beds. Pub a great place to relax in the evening with good food and drinks from the bar. TV sports if you want or quieter room for conversation. Breakfast prepared to order from menu. Very good.

Good location for the Wicklow area.
Food selection and
Pub were welcome.
There was a mistake on our vouchers and it was “all our fault”
Did not seem to be interested in helping solve the problem.
Fortunately B&B Ireland acknowledged the error was there mistake and was corrected. There was tension at that moment

Loved the facility, pub, and people. This was a friendly and welcoming environment. While it is very convenient to Wicklow, it is a good 30 minute drive to the Tara station to catch a train into Dublin, That was not ideal, but also not too bad. I would definitely stay there again.
