Meet your host…

Julia O'Connor

I have been in the hospitality business since 1991 and I do enjoy meeting people and engaging in conversation. During the winter months I do a lot of walking nearby. I've also walked abroad; Grand Cayon in the U.S., Matchu Pitchu, South America, las Alpujarras, Spain and Brittany, France. I also cycle, I've completed the Ring of Kerry, cycled in Poland and France. I also cook and enjoy having people for dinner. When totally relaxed I enjoy reading and am a member of the local book club.

Julia was a wonderful guest and an excellent cook! This B&B was very close to town and if you wanted to take a stroll early in the morning there were country roads that you could do so safely. Definitely one of our favorite ones on our trip to Ireland!!

Dear Josephine Thank you for the nice complimentary comments you made on your stay here at An Bruachan I found a pair of scapulars in the room after your departure. I sent an email to let you know I found them perhaps you did not receive it. I would be happy to forward them to you if you want them returned. I hope all 4 of you enjoyed your holiday and hopefully you have good memories of your Irish vacation. Julia O Connor

An Bruachan was a great place to stay, and Julia was a very helpful host. Our room, at the very top of the house, was spacious and comfortable with Julia making sure that we had extra blankets and plenty of amenities in the bathroom. The breakfast was great, and Julia helped us plan a wonderful trip to the castle in Kilkenny. The location is perfect for day trips in many different directions.

This might have been our favorite B&B on our trip! Our room was clean and very comfortable, and right on the stream outside, so close we could hear it! Breakfast was great! Julia was so nice! Close to town but not really walking distance. Highly recommended!
