Guests are welcome to take a tour of the farm to meet all the animals including the donkeys and ponies and if they want to get up early they can collect eggs for breakfast.  There is also the option to feed the calves either in the morning or evening feeding time.  Most of the food on the farm is actually produced on the farm - you can't get much fresher than that.

This was a very lovely B&B . They were very accommodating to our very late arrival. Comfortable beds and clean facilities. Loved all the animals on the property. Thank you to Trish and we would definitely recommend Hillview as one of your B&B stays while in Ireland.

You won't go wrong visiting here! Four of our family spent one night in two rooms and had exclusive use of the newly updated bathroom across the hall. The new shower is awesome and felt great after many hours of travel from the US. Our two older children (and their parents) truly enjoyed waking up "on the farm" and walking outside to visit with the farm animals and the dogs before having a delicious breakfast. Gorgeous view over the valley and Patricia could not have been more welcoming or gracious. God Bless!

On our 9 day trip through Ireland, my friend and I stayed at one hotel and 6 B&Bs. Hillview was only our third stop, but we could NOT stop talking about it! First of all, when you pull up, you're greeted by Trish's sweet dogs that just come right up to you. After a really long day (we had major car trouble and spent the day at the car rental place pretty much), Trish's hospitality was refreshing and it just made our day. She immediately made us tea and coffee and brought us out a treat. She chatted with us about our travels and gave us some nice recommendations on where to go for dinner and such in Ennis. When we got back that night, she had the fireplace going for us so we could relax in the common area before going to bed. The next morning, we had an early start, so we didn't mind being woken up by an actual rooster(?) crowing! We got to see all of her animals like a sheepdog (among others), baby cows, pigs, chickens, and even an alpaca! Her breakfast was also unlike any we had during the whole stay. Everything is fresh and out-of-this-world delicious. When I return to Ireland, Hillview will definitely be on my itinerary again. It was one of the highlights of our trip. I just can't speak highly enough about this place and this host!

Very off the beaten path and in a fantastic location! We loved it and how quiet and home-like it felt. We were immediately greeted warmly and shown our very spacious and comfortable room. The shower water was hot and the bed was comfortable after a day of travel. We got to sneak outside when Patricia's husband started morning chores so we got to pet the dogs, donkeys and calves. If you're an animal lover - here is the place to be!!!
