Meet your host…

Valerie Doey

We have lived here for the past 18 yrs and have been doing B&B for 13 yrs now! I was brought up on a farm about 30 miles from here. I enjoy baking and cooking like my Mother taught me. Willie was brought up a stones throw from here & knows a lot about the local area . We love chatting to our guests & helping them with directions etc also welcoming guests from all around the world to this lovely part of Northern Ireland and our home. Our guests comfort whilst here is paramount to us.

Very nice property. Valerie was an excellent hostess. Only suggestion to offer: clear ivy off of street sign to turn onto Garvagh Road. We drove right past the A29 turnoff. Also use the John Deere store as a landmark.

Beautiful house and Valerie was a great hostess. Good suggestion for a dinner location and good food in the morning.

After a long day of traveling we arrived very late at this beautiful place. Valerie was under the weather so William took great care of us, driving us to the local pub for something to eat. The beds were very comfortable and the place was immaculate. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Coolmore house was quite beautiful! The house has an old world feel with modern amenities. We were given very comfortable rooms with spectacular baths that felt spalike with the finishes and the extra thick towels! Breakfast was very nice with all the fixings. Valerie was very kind and warm with an easy going style. She was fun to talk to. We wish we would have had more time to spend at Coolmore. We highly recommend staying here and venturing out for local sights. We will definitely return if we make it back to Ireland. Perfect! Cheers!

Coolmore House was a lovely place to stay and Valerie was a great host. She has a most welcoming presence that makes guests feel comfortable and at home. The house and guest room was fabulous. The detail in our room was spectacular -- wooden paneling, beautiful tiling, sunlight, very comfortable bed, and quiet. A busy traveller could not ask for more! Valerie made an excellent breakfast and even showed us her spacious and professional kitchen. The grounds and garden are also an idyllic spot. I highly recommend Coolmore House!
