All the original ceilings and fireplaces etc. are still intact in the house. Una and Ciaran, who runs the dairy farm will help with advice for fishing hotspots and walking trails in the nearby Dartry forest and Bellamont Estate. I know I speak for both my traveling buddy and I when I say that we really enjoyed our visit to Cootehill. Una and her son were gracious hosts and welcomed us with open arms. We felt as if we had known them forever. Una went out of her way to help my friend find her remote family and we couldn't have done it without her. She is a wealth of knowledge and very hospitable and gracious. You definitely won't leave there hungry! Her Irish breakfast was ample and delicious. Thank you Una!

what a lovely place, it was the first time I have stayed in the surrounding of Cootehill. Really a stunning place. And Una, such a graceful lady, it is like coming home way back in time. Agreed, doing the b&b for at least 50 years, she knows how to please people. So helpful and had some lovely chats in the diningroom. The house itself is a statement. Do not espect the standards you get in the new build b&b's but you get in return so much knowledge and love. Thanks for everything Una. Maybe just one small point , I found the beds a bit unpleasent to sleep in, maybe a new matras will do the trick. But highly recommended.

It is a nice place and Una is a lovely woman. She and her dog made the stay a good experience. It was tidy but it looked a little bit old in the house. You could go for a walk in the area or play with the dog. Overall a good place to stay.

Una a été une hôtesse adorable et très à l'écoute. La chambre et la salle de bains étaient propres mais plutôt vieillottes et encombrées....Le site est très paisible.
