The Barron Family

Newpark House began as a B&B in 1966 by my mother Bernie Barron. After training as a Chef and working is several countries I returned to help in running the business in 1995. Since then I have taken over and continue to welcome guests to our home. I also returned to college to study local history. I feel this gives me a good advantage helping guests researching their roots. Running Newpark House as a B&B allows us to enjoy living in a very special place.

Newpark House is a luxurious bed and breakfast ideally located on the outskirts of Ennis with all of County Clare's most popular attractions just a few miles away. The house, which sits on a large piece of land, dates back to the 18th century and is tastefully decorated in a traditional and luxurious manner. There are six en-suite bedrooms which are well-appointed, cosy and comfortable. Guests can enjoy a tasty breakfast served in the charming dining room. The guest lounge, which is decorated with antiques and has an open fire, provides a comfortable place to relax in the evenings.

Overall good stay the man running the house was very nice and welcoming. The house itself is beautiful. Room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Very quiet felt private even though there were other guest there. Room could use some cob web removal but nothing that would stop me from staying again. Do recommend!

Newpark House is a beautiful house, with a classic aesthetic and very well maintained. The bedrooms were quiet, clean, and very comfortable, and Declan is a charming man, a gentleman, who made us a delicious breakfast (it had been a long time since I had eaten such well-made eggs Benedict!). The only downside of our stay was that we were only there for one night; we would have liked to stay longer to enjoy everything more!

Expectations were exceeded. Excellent location...rooms were comfortable and the shower was one of the best I came across on my trip. Great way to spend your last night in Ireland before flying out of Shannon. About a 20 minute drive. Get to Ennis early...a lot to explore.

My daughter and I had a lovely stay. Pity it was just for one night. Everything was perfect. The house itself is gorgeous. Breakfast was varied and plentiful And Mr. Barron is a very attentive host. Would love to visit again some day.
