A warm and friendly welcome and a lovely stay! My wife and I stayed in Clonakilty at Duvane House for four days. We booked in advance for our first trip to Ireland via Internet. The lady of the house Noreen McCarthy welcomed us very kindly and by a cup of tea she told us important things to know for our stay in West Cork, such as where to go for good food and which places are important and beautiful to visit. Mrs. McCarthy and her husband are very kind hosts and you can always have a little chat with them. The furniture in the whole house is in gregorian style and very elegant. The living room is homely and we often used it in the evening to plan our trips for the next day. There is also free Wifi. The rooms are en suite and very nice and clean. Unlikely to much hotels - which are by the way often much more expensive - towels are changed every day. The breakfast is original irish and the food is from local farmers. After breakfast at Duvanes House you won't need any food until diner at the evening! All in all we appriciated the hosts and their nice Bed and Breakfast. If we come back to West Cork, we will definitely stay again at this great place. Greetings from Austria!

Noreen was very pleasant and helpful. The fine antique furniture and decor were great. There is a large living room and dining room, the latter with one large table. Breakfast was great. The bedroom was adequate. Unfortunately, we could not find a good place to have our evening meal. Local people directed us to the one that they said was the best in town and it was not good.

Back in France, we can say that you are our favorite B&B in Ireland. We have been there for 4 nights in a nice and spacious room Your recommandations for dinners and evening events with irish music were good and helpful. Breakfast were delicious with a must to taste home made fruit salad , the special bread cinnamon and of course the typical irish breakfast . Last but not least, Noreen ! warm hospitality, exceptionnal relationship, always a kind word. You are unique. Thank you

Beautiful house and grounds, very warm and welcoming hosts, full of chat and offers of tea. The house itself is fascinating, originally built a few hundred years ago. A lovely experience from start to finish, cannot recommend it enough, will definitely be going back.
