We had a great stay at Grey Gables for two nights towards the beginning of our journey through Ireland. Janet and George were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home in their home. The setting is tranquil and quiet but is a short drive away from Kinsale, Cobh, and other nearby towns and villages, so you get the best of both worlds. We would absolutely stay here again on a future trip to Ireland!

We received a very warm welcome from from Janet and George! This was the start of our travels in Ireland and after staying at Green Gables we had fairly high expectations there on. Janet booked us in for and evening meal within 10kms. We had a wonderful sleep in a very comfortable bed, then breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious a choice of continental or fully cooked. We left thinking if this is typical Irish hospitality we are in for a treat!!

Janet was a very gracious host. The accommodations were very nice and peaceful. The breakfast was wonderful and we met some nice guests. A rooster woke us up in the morning and I told my wife how appropriated for a Farm setting.

This was our favorite stay in Ireland. Janet and George are welcoming and so kind! They treated us like royalty. Janet’s cooking is amazing and presented with such elegance. She makes the best scones We had in Ireland! The house is in a beautiful country setting. We were so thankful to be able to meet them and hope to return again one day!

Janet was a gracious host at their beautiful home. Grey Gables was our first B&B that we stayed at on our journey in Ireland. Actually it was the first B&B that my wife and I had ever stayed at. Janet made us feel very welcome. Janet is very organized giving choices for times to eat so that we did not have to wait on breakfast. Breakfast began with a wonderful stewed rhubarb dish with strawberries that was quite tasty. This was followed by creamy porridge and an Irish Breakfast. We were stuffed at the end of the meal. I had planned a route to our next destination. However, Janet gave us a map with suggestions on where to go to get to our next destination. I am so thankful for her recommendations as the views were absolutely breathtaking. My wife and I cannot return to Ireland. We will definitely be staying again at Grey Gables. Next time we will stay more than one night. I cannot thank Janet enough for our stay. It was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend staying at Grey Gables.
