We stayed with Janet on Oct 5 and 6, 2018. Janet's Dad met us and gave us a lively review of the family's history with this B&B and even called in a reservation for us at a favorite local restaurant. Later, Janet provided thoughtful suggestions about the Kinsale area and next morning cooked a delicious breakfast. The big surprise was the birthday cake she brought out as it was my birthday (our daughter-in-law called from the US and tipped her off). She saved it for us to have that evening with a little Irish whiskey....mmmm spice cake and whiskey. What an end to a wonderful stay.

Hosts were very friendly and breakfast was good. It was raining heavily when we arrived and found it hard to find. I would recommend having dinner before arriving as the 12 mile drive to Kinsale was not great in the rain. Dino's in Kinsale was recommended but they were having a busy nite and we were told to wait outside (in the rain) till a table was ready. Not our best experience in Ireland.

Dear Shirley I am disappointed that you should base your review on the weather. I do my utmost to make every ones stay in Grey Gables Farmhouse as comfortable and pleasant an experience as possible.

the country setting was lovely, the hosts warm and welcoming. My son and I found the sitting room a great place to relax and read after a long day's drive.
