Out of the four places we stayed while in Ireland, An Rosalithir easily is the best! From the moment we arrived, Finbar and Catherine's passion for making their guests' stay as perfect as can be was apparent. Finbar helped us to our room with our bags, made us coffee, tea, and scones, and spent 15-20 minutes discussing our plans with us and offering useful suggestions on things to do and places to see. Both of our hosts are extremely knowledgeable of the surrounding area, and offer excellent advice, but are not pushy in doing so. The entire home was impeccably clean, the breakfasts were superb, and the location is ideal of visiting any location across the entire southern coast of Ireland, from Mizen Head to Cork. I highly recommend staying at An Rosalithir if you plan on travelling to the southern coast. I know that we will be back as soon as we can!

Catherine and her husband were such gracious hosts. We were greeted and immediately offered scones and tea after a long day of driving. Magnificent! They even let us know about a scenic cliff area that wasn't even five minutes away. It was beautiful, and we would have never know about it! The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we couldn't have asked for a better view. The B&B sits on a breathtaking hill with a view of the ocean! Fantastic stay. Highly recommend! :)

Catherine and Finnbar were both so helpful. Catherine even offerd us to pick us up from city by car! (If the way back to the house is too far for us) So the B&B is not just business for them! Our room was very comfortable, cosy and clean. The irish breakfast was really good. My boyfriend and I would recommend it. Thanks a lot ❤️ Greetings from Germany

Finbarr & Catherine were the best. We were a party of 6 traveling Ireland. They helped us with our car because we blew a tire trying to avoid a head on with another car. Narrow roads Not used to driving on the opposite side of the road or driving a stick with left hand. LOL!! They were very engaging. The view of their farm across from the house was beautiful. Great Irish breakfast. Would recommend a stay for sure.

Catherine was extremely warm and friendly. Upon arrival, she showed us around to our room and made sure we were comfortable. She recommended 3 places to eat and even offered to call the places for us. (We chose eat at Market Place and the food was outstanding.). She told us about the cliff walk and beach in the area, which we did and was very peaceful. The room and bathroom were very clean and cozy. We noticed very little noise from the other guests. Breakfast was excellent and prompt. We had a great view of the countryside from our room. For some people, the distance from town may affect their rating or opinion of this B&B but my husband and I loved it…it was far enough from town that we didn’t hear traffic or see traffic and the distance gave it a country feel. Since I let my husband take care of the “checking out” portion of our trip, I headed for the car and Catherine came out to say goodbye and make sure that all was well. As a business owner, I appreciate that effort. We would definitely stay here again and recommend An Rosalithir to family and friends.
