After reading reviews I was very excited to stay here for my birthday and enjoy all the surrounding area. Unfortunatlely when we arrived at the set time of 3pm for our reservation no one was home. There was a business card left attached to the doorbell with the owners name and number which I called 3 times with no answer. I called the wifes number listed on my reservation slip and the home number all with no answer and sent an email to the business address with still no reply.
We drove off to explore some of the area, which was wonderful, and 3 h ours later decided maybe they were working or out and about themselves and stopped in again. This time my husband accidently went the wrong way to leave and Wilson was just around the corner in his car. When we pulled up next to him he said they were closed. When I told him we had reservations you could tell he felt bad and actually said "I completely forgot about that" . Very sad way to run a business- an e-mail prior to arrival would have been greatly appreciated so other accomadations could be planned!
We left and went to the Ballyliffin Lodge who had one room left - the honeymoon suite "bridal" which cost $250 but hey I got a jacuzzi tub and huge room for birthday. All is grand in Ireland :-)

Very spacious, quiet, and comfortable room. Wilson was a friendly host with a great breakfast and suggestions for daily excursions. Good location if you're on the Inishowen peninsula.

A restored country house, a very large restored house with spacious and clean rooms and an outside balcony. Wilson's fruit salad for breakfast could have been used for a photography shoot and tasted just as good. His slow cooked scrambled eggs, according to my wife, a hard marker, were the best we had in Ireland. He should give lessons to all the other B&Bs. This is the place you want to stay.

Set in peaceful grounds this Stunning , immaculate family home on a working farm is ideally located for touring Inishowen and beyond just two minutes drive from Cardonagh centre Riversdale Country House is perfect for a vacation. With Spacious and airy rooms with beautiful period features , Wilson & Sharon made us feel so very welcome and couldn't do enough for us.
You can go for a walk in the lovely grounds but be mindful that it is a working farm. Riversdale is set back of the road with stunning 360°views , and its location is very peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. We have recommended Riversdale to our friends and can't wait to stay again in the near future.
