Clinton's Woodview Farmhouse

Skerries, Dublin, K34 BR74

Review Score: Fabulous 8.7/10

4km from Skerries

Meet your host…

Mary Clinton

Back in the early 1980's, we made the decision to go into tourism. We started Woodview Farmhouse after building four rooms. It was a decision we were never to regret. I retired from full time farming in 1992 and thereafter threw all my energies in with Mary. Nobody would remain in the hospitality business unless they loved it; and we are committed totally. In 2014 we installed solar panels, replaced 7 windows with triple glazing, also installing water harvesting system.

Our stay was brief. We didn’t have time to enjoy breakfast because we had to catch our flight home. It was very close to the airport which was why we picked it. It was a comfortable room. We did enjoy a delicious dinner in skerries along the water. It was dark out when we arrived so didn’t see much of the area. Mary was very nice and offered to pack us a breakfast to go.

We had a brief stay as we were flying out early the next morning. The hostess was very accommodating and made us breakfast grab bags so we had something to eat prior to our flight.

Mary was extremely helpful and accommodating, providing directions to the train station as well as the schedule, and then even taking us back to the station to pick up our car in the morning since no cabs would come and we were in a panic to catch our flight! We were very grateful for her help. We didn't get to enjoy breakfast as we had to rush out in the morning (but it smelled delicious!). Very clean, comfortable & spacious room and adjoining bathroom. Quite a bit further from downtown Dublin than we anticipated, but fairly close to the airport which is why we picked it. Would recommend.
