White Heather Farm

Kenmare, Kerry, V93VXD0

4km from Kenmare

Meet your host…

Lovett Family

The Lovett Family have been farming the land for generations and welcoming guests for over 40 years. The old stone farm cottage still exists. Cattle mainly Hereford @ Charolais and sheep namely Suffolk @ Scotch are reared on the farm. There is always lots of work to be done on the farm with the vegetables being sown in spring and silage cutting during the summer months. Many of our guests take a stroll before or after breakfast to the farm, enjoying the panoramic views on the way.

Nestled on 100 acres of luscious farmland, enjoy stunning views of County Kerry’s majestic mountains and the buzz of life on a working farm at White Heather Farm. The Lovett family have been welcoming guests for more than 30 years, treating them to orthopaedic beds, indulgent breakfasts and great local knowledge. Ideal for tours of the Ring of Kerry, Beara Peninsula and Bonane Heritage Park, the picturesque town of Kenmare is also 4km away. Guests can enjoy gourmet restaurants, vibrant pubs and a wealth of outdoor activities.

Farmstay Experience

There is always something to do on the farm; with the vegetables being sown in spring and silage cutting during the summer months. Guests can take a stroll around the farm and see the vegetable garden and the orchard, they can even visit the hens to collect eggs.  Guests may also have a stroll on the mountain at the back of the farm and if they are feeling very adventurous guests are welcome to go for a swim on the river Sheen which flows through the farm!

We had a wonderful time here. Not too far from Kenmare, so we could enjoy dinner and entertainment in town while still being in the country. It is also very convenient for going around the Ring of Kerry. Would recommend to anyone!

The room was regular, but clean. Everything was a bit old. The breakfast was simple but enough. Sheila was very friendly and helpfull for finding nice walks. No farmexperience at all.

Dear Marga and Lambert, It is always busy on the Lovett Farm, it's a pity you did not ask us how to get up the main farm area. Lots of animals and sheep to see and working farm is just a short walk. Guests welcome to chat with us and find out more Thank you, Sheila Lovett
