Meet your host…

Lovett Family

The Lovett Family have been farming the land for generations and welcoming guests for over 40 years. The old stone farm cottage still exists. Cattle mainly Hereford @ Charolais and sheep namely Suffolk @ Scotch are reared on the farm. There is always lots of work to be done on the farm with the vegetables being sown in spring and silage cutting during the summer months. Many of our guests take a stroll before or after breakfast to the farm, enjoying the panoramic views on the way.

Glengarriff Road

Ideal for tours of the Ring of Kerry, Beara Peninsula and Bonane Heritage Park, the picturesque town of Kenmare is also 4km away. Farmstay Experience

There is always something to do on the farm; with the vegetables being sown in spring and silage cutting during the summer months. Guests can take a stroll around the farm and see the vegetable garden and the orchard, they can even visit the hens to collect eggs.  Guests may also have a stroll on the mountain at the back of the farm and if they are feeling very adventurous guests are welcome to go for a swim on the river Sheen which flows through the farm!

This farm house is situated near a mountain with stunning views all around!!! There were cute little sheep grazing and sleeping under apple trees just outside our bedroom window. We loved it! The house is older and the room can be a little musky on arrival, but opening the windows freshens it right up! Sheila is fabulous and very concerned about tending all her guests needs! We truly enjoyed our stay!

Thank you so much Sheila for your hospitality. We had a wonderful time staying with you. The location was the perfect place to stay since it was local to Dingle, the Ring of Kerry and the pubs in Kenmare Village. Our girls also loved chatting with your grandsons and petting your baby lambs. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

We loved staying at Sheilas. She's amazing. Sheila was very informative, helpful, and made us a wonderful breakfast. Her room and home is nice and clean. It also had everything we could need and plenty of space. Her location was in the perfect spot to visit Killarney National Park and the Ring of Kerry. We loved visiting with her sheep every morning as well. Her property is lovely and surrounded by natural beauty. Will definitely recommend Sheila to others and come back if we ever visit Ireland again. Thank you Sheila, for a wonderful visit.

Sheila was a very welcoming host, and went out of her way to make us comfortable, even providing us with coffee and muffins for supper! The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast very satisfying with home baking.
