Meet your host…

Anne Finn Maybury

Tara Farm has been taking in Guests since 1967 so you could say I was born into the business. My mother Margaret ran it for about 30 years and now I have taken over the mantel. I am a retired Secondary School Teacher (June 2016) , I love meeting people and being involved in this business affords you that opportunity. I have a passion for all things "old" , I love to cook and bake ,swim and read with a passion for local history. Married to Sean Finn, with two sons Richard and Seanie.

We loved Tara Farms from the moment we arrived. Welcoming hosts, spacious room with a comfortable bed, a wonderful breakfast, and a perfect quiet location - it cannot get better than that. We loved walking to town (10 leisurely minutes) while watching cows. You can also sit outdoors and just enjoy the peace and quiet surrounding the farm. We highly recommend Tara Farms to anyone staying in Kenmare.

We loved Tara Farm and Anne. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. Location was perfect. Close to everything but located down a quiet country road. Very helpful with suggestions for sites and restaurants. We hadn't planned on traveling the coast of Beara Peninsula, but it was strongly suggested to us by Anne. It was fabulous. Less crowded than Ring of Kerry, more scenic with hidden gems everywhere. Lovely little waterfront pub with the best fish and chips.

Tara Farm is a great location. We were a couple of minutes from the heart of Kenmare where there are wonderful restaurants and pubs. From here we visited the Gap of Dunloe and the Killarney lakes. Bedroom and bathroom were large and very clean. Our breakfast was delicious.

By far our favorite place to stay! Ann was so friendly with vast knowledge of the area and beyond, we actually had a lot in common with our travels. Room was clean, comfortable bed, good size shower with yummy smelling soaps and lotions. Lovely sunroom and outside porch to relax in at the end of the day. Quiet area with gorgeous view of the sea, we slept so well! Downtown Kenmare has plenty of fun pubs and shopping, just down the hill. Delicious breakfast, lively conversation, we stayed 2 nights but would have liked to stay longer!
