Meet your host…

Mrs Anne Finn Maybury

Tara Farm has been taking in Guests since 1967 so you could say I was born into the business. My mother Margaret ran it for about 30 years and now I have taken over the mantel. I am a retired Secondary School Teacher (June 2016) , I love meeting people and being involved in this business affords you that opportunity. I have a passion for all things "old" , I love to cook and bake ,swim and read with a passion for local history. Married to Sean Finn, with two sons Richard and Seanie.

Ideally located with breathtaking panoramas of Kenmare Bay and County Kerry’s mountainous landscape, Tara Farm is a rural haven on a stunning 30 acres of land. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of our week long Ireland trip. This was my favorite place of the 5 locations we stayed and I would have gladly stayed longer in this paradise. The breakfast was incredible! The host made the best french toast I have ever had by far. There was a menu to choose from and there were gourmet cheeses, a huge selection of fruit, cereal, yogurt, and many drinks. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. I picked this place because of the view and it didn't disappoint. From our window we could see the coast, hills, mountains, farms, and their beautifully landscaped property. We didn't get to walk down to the water like the description said but the rest of the experience made up for it. The door handles to our room and bathroom screeched loudly. That was the one and only flaw of the house. Everything was neat and clean. The bed was comfortable. The town of Kenmare was full of great restaurants and a perfect location to visit the Killarney National Park and the Ring of Kerry. I would come back here and recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

By far, one of our favorite B&B's on our mother daughter trip. Our room was spacious with a beautiful view where we enjoyed a cup of coffee. We were shown several places for our early dinner - our pick was fabulous! We wandered around town ending with a street concert before returning for a wonderful night's rest. Breakfast was once again a beautiful start to our ongoing adventure. We are very appreciative for the warm hospitality of Tara Farm. We hope to return one day!

This was our favorite B&B on our trip. The home was beautiful. The views while you eat breakfast were amazing. The room was small but very comfortable with s great shower. The breakfast also great! You ordered off a menu with was great since I don’t eat meat and got to choose what I had. If/When we go back, this is one place we would come back to!

Sorry for taking so long to leave a review! Tara Farm is a wonderful place to stay, fantastic location with beautiful views. We were made to feel so welcome - from the cup of tea when we arrived, to the wonderful breakfast we had before we left! We had a great chat with Anne, and even got to meet the gorgeous Charlie. This was the first night of our trip, and wasn't even nearly matched in the hotels we stayed in the following nights. Would definitely recommend a stay here! Hope to be back!!
