Meet your host…

Anne Finn Maybury

Tara Farm has been taking in Guests since 1967 so you could say I was born into the business. My mother Margaret ran it for about 30 years and now I have taken over the mantel. I am a retired Secondary School Teacher (June 2016) , I love meeting people and being involved in this business affords you that opportunity. I have a passion for all things "old" , I love to cook and bake ,swim and read with a passion for local history. Married to Sean Finn, with two sons Richard and Seanie.

Book it! Hard to imagine a better place to stay. Spent 4 nights here in early April. Upstairs bedroom is spacious and the view is unbeatable. Tara Farms is the perfect launching point to explore the three peninsulas: Dingle, Kerry Ring and Beara. (Don't miss Beara, whatever you do). Also a short walk or drive to Kenmare, a lovely village with very good food, music, a stone circle and much more. Tucked away amongst working farms, far from the madding crowds, but very convenient to many point of interest, too many to name here. Breakfast is fantastic if you choose to include it in your package. Great way to fuel up before a day of exploring and the hosts are flexible regarding the options and size of your breakfast. Anne really enjoys hosting visitors and is always up for a good chat. We wish we had more time to chat with her. If you are looking for a base to explore Kerry and Cork Counties and beyond, it's hard to see how you could beat Tara Farms. "This one goes to 11."

Heather and Bruce you were among our first Guests at Tara Farm this season and it was lovely to have you stay at our home . We are fortunate to live so close to Town but yet totally in the countryside with sea and mountain views, nothing to disturb you but the sound of the Black Cattle moving from field to field. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much , and you correctly observed I do love to meet and chat with people , in fact I have learnt a lot from these conversations over the years , the History and Geography of the World so to speak. . Staying in any Irish Bed and Breakfast is hard to beat for value and a flavour of what true Irish hospitality is all about . We would love to welcome you back anytime in the future . In the meantime stay safe and healthy, Warm wishes Anne and Sean and all at Tara Farm

My Fiancé and I celebrated our new engagement at Tara Farms and Anne & Sean made us feel at home! They even gifted us a bottle of Champagne to celebrate. Their home was beautiful and clean, 10 minutes from the nearby village and surrounded by beautiful farms and mountains. Anne especially was so warm and easy to talk to. I would recommend Tara Farms and Kenmare to anyone wanting to explore rural Ireland!
