Meet your host…

Anne Finn Maybury

Tara Farm has been taking in Guests since 1967 so you could say I was born into the business. My mother Margaret ran it for about 30 years and now I have taken over the mantel. I am a retired Secondary School Teacher (June 2016) , I love meeting people and being involved in this business affords you that opportunity. I have a passion for all things "old" , I love to cook and bake ,swim and read with a passion for local history. Married to Sean Finn, with two sons Richard and Seanie.

We stayed for 3 days. The rooms were clean. Anne seemed a bit distracted during our visit. Breakfast was late as the host overslept. Outdoor patio furniture not available so we were unable to really enjoy the yard.

Becky thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us at Tara Farm . Breakfast is served here each day between 8AM and 9.30 or by arrangement. Maybe you came into the dining room earlier, what a pity I did not know you needed an earlier time we would certainly have tried to facilitate you .Yes you are correct our patio furniture was only put out last week as we are very weather dependent here and we did not feel it was a good idea to have it out with the unsettled weather we had at the earlier part of May. We are glad that you found the rooms clean , this is my home , and I feel that the value offered by all bed and breakfasts in the country is hard to equal. Warm wishes to both of you Anne

Tara Farm was our favorite place to stay while we were in Ireland. They made us feel very welcome in their house and chatted with us Everytime we saw them. The location great, just a 15 minute walk to the town square. We had a room with an outdoor patio with beautiful views of the water and hillsides. We would highly recommend Tara Farm.

I was made to feel welcomed upon arrival and enjoyed the shared conversations. Tara Farms was a perfect B & B choice to begin our 8 day journey. Being that this was the first experience as a guest in a B & B; it is a pleasure to say, that it was better than expected. I enjoyed the traditional Irish breakfast, the food was fantastic! Kenmare offers a quaint family environment, with traditional Celtic music. The room was clean and very comfortable. I expect to hopefully return again one day, and Tara Farms will be top of my list. Anne, thank you so very much!
