Meet your host…

Anne Finn Maybury

Tara Farm has been taking in Guests since 1967 so you could say I was born into the business. My mother Margaret ran it for about 30 years and now I have taken over the mantel. I am a retired Secondary School Teacher (June 2016) , I love meeting people and being involved in this business affords you that opportunity. I have a passion for all things "old" , I love to cook and bake ,swim and read with a passion for local history. Married to Sean Finn, with two sons Richard and Seanie.

V93 KVX3

Ideally located with breathtaking panoramas of Kenmare Bay and County Kerry’s mountainous landscape, Tara Farm is a rural haven on a stunning 30 acres of land. Welcoming guests since 1967, guests can enjoy delicious breakfasts, with seafood a speciality, as well as arranged fishing trips. Only 1km from the heritage town of Kenmare, visitors can golf, swim, horse ride, hill walk and take the Seafari boat trip to explore the area’s wildlife. The town also boasts gourmet restaurants and lively pubs.

Tara Farm is beautifully situated overlooking Kenmare Bay and Mountains, with river Finnehy flowing through its lands and direct access to Tubrid Cove with its private shoreline. we spent three night in this B&B and leaved from there reluctantly. The rooms are well cleaned and comfortably the same care for the common spaces and the breakfast. We think that the surrounding places don't need more praising, they are simply wonderful. Just a little note, they accept only cash payment even if you reserve by c/c. What say more? go there and enjoy it !

The beautiful views, lovely staff and enjoyable room all contributed to a wonderful stay! We enjoyed the breakfast (great fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs etc.) and facilities very much. The lookout from our room made for a stunning view towards the mountains. Tara Farm is also conveniently located for any kind of travel along the Ring of Beara or the Ring of Kerry as well as into the city of Kenmare (a brief walk into the city centre). Thank you, Anne and team!

Anne, I remember you well and thank you so much for your lovely review. The view of the sea and mountains from Tara Farm is hard to beat and I never take it for granted, we live in a beautiful part of the World. I am glad you enjoyed our fresh breakfasts, it may take a little longer but we do cook to order every morning. We are also fortunate to be in a rural location yet walking distance of the center of Kenmare along the very safe Tubbrid by road, what more can we ask for a great place to grow up in and a great place to grow old in. We would love to welcome you back anytime in the future , Warmest regards,\ Anne and Seanie

Stephan, it was unfortunate that we had to relocate you at short notice owing to a problem at Tara Farm. We are delighted that you found the alternative so good and this is why we recommended it, Thank you for being so gracious to us, we would love to welcome you back sometime in the future Warmest regards Anne and Sean
