Meet your host…

Anne Finn Maybury

Tara Farm has been taking in Guests since 1967 so you could say I was born into the business. My mother Margaret ran it for about 30 years and now I have taken over the mantel. I am a retired Secondary School Teacher (June 2016) , I love meeting people and being involved in this business affords you that opportunity. I have a passion for all things "old" , I love to cook and bake ,swim and read with a passion for local history. Married to Sean Finn, with two sons Richard and Seanie.

We loved our two night stay at Tara Farms. Anne was a very helpful and kind host providing useful information and suggestions for the area. Really enjoyed our room with beautiful views of the farm and area. Totally enjoyed our leisurely 15 minute walk into the neat little town of Kenmare. I can't imagine a better location for our stay.

We loved Tara Farms from the moment we arrived. Welcoming hosts, spacious room with a comfortable bed, a wonderful breakfast, and a perfect quiet location - it cannot get better than that. We loved walking to town (10 leisurely minutes) while watching cows. You can also sit outdoors and just enjoy the peace and quiet surrounding the farm. We highly recommend Tara Farms to anyone staying in Kenmare.

We loved Tara Farm and Anne. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. Location was perfect. Close to everything but located down a quiet country road. Very helpful with suggestions for sites and restaurants. We hadn't planned on traveling the coast of Beara Peninsula, but it was strongly suggested to us by Anne. It was fabulous. Less crowded than Ring of Kerry, more scenic with hidden gems everywhere. Lovely little waterfront pub with the best fish and chips.
