Review Score: Superb 9.6/10

14km from Killarney

Meet your host…

Sean O'Donoghue

The O@Donoghue family have owned (for hundreds of years) and managed Salmon Leap Farm as a B+B since 1963. Sheila and Flor O@Donoghue started the B+B and Sheila is still part of the team along with Sean(son), Eilish(daughter in law) and Peter(grandson).Salmon Leap Farm has evolved over the years to what it is today, a 3 star, eco friendly B+B. We celebrated our 50th anniversary as a bed and breakfast in 2013 which we think was a milestone in the tourist business in Ireland.

Lovely, lovely place and easy to locate. Close to a great pub. I thank Shaun for translating a book title in Gaelic to English for me. Sheila was reading a book which I ordered and look forward to reading per her recommendation. We thank them both for our time with them. The view was super, but my friends asked where the b sheep were!

We had a very nice stay at Salmon Leap Farm. How nice to stay out of town on an old farm with beautiful views. Sean our host was great and we enjoyed learning that this was a family run business for over 60 years. There was a very comfortable sitting room where we could relax and read, which we loved. Thanks Sean! Highly recommend.

Our time at Salmon Leap Farm was an ideal stay during our long and winding trip in Ireland. Sean was immensely hospitable and answered any of our multiple questions about the area and Ireland itself. He was also just very personable and a pleasure to get to know. He reflects the kindness and openness we experienced throughout our time in Ireland.
