Meet your host…

Sean O'Donoghue

The O'Donoghue family have owned (for hundreds of years) and managed Salmon Leap Farm as a B+B since 1963. Sheila and Flor O'Donoghue started the B+B and they are still part of the team along with Sean(son), Eilish(daughter in law) and Peter(grandson).Salmon Leap Farm has evolved over the years to what it is today, a 3 star, eco friendly B+B. We celebrated our 50th anniversary as a bed and breakfast in 2013 which we think was a milestone in the tourist business in Ireland.

Salmon Leap Farm is definitely worth a stay. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and spotlessly clean, the shower one of the best I found in Ireland. If the weather is fine, you can enjoy a very nice garden. The hosts are very friendly and prepared to give interesting recommendations. There are no coffee and tea making facilities in the room, but you get a nice cup of tea if you ask for it.

A highlight of our trip!! Sean was such a great host. Be sure to ask for the tour of the burial grounds on site. We stayed for 2 nights here and I'd stay for the entire trip next time. So many things to do locally and you can't beat Sean's hospitality.
