Salmon Leap Farm

Killarney, Kerry, V93 DF8H

14km from Killarney

Meet your host…

Mr Sean O'Donoghue

The O'Donoghue family have owned (for hundreds of years) and managed Salmon Leap Farm as a B+B since 1963. Sheila and Flor O'Donoghue started the B+B and they are still part of the team along with Sean(son), Eilish(daughter in law) and Peter(grandson).Salmon Leap Farm has evolved over the years to what it is today, a 3 star, eco friendly B+B. We celebrated our 50th anniversary as a bed and breakfast in 2013 which we think was a milestone in the tourist business in Ireland.

Exceptional. The entire O'Donoghue family were very warm and welcoming hosts. My family spent 17 days staying at B&Bs while travelling around Ireland. Salmon Leap was our first stop, and my mother continued to rave about our stay throughout our entire trip. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable, and breakfasts were always excellent. We enjoyed being just a short drive from both downtown Killarney and the national park, yet having a quiet and peaceful place to retire at night. The setting was beautiful with rolling hills and mountains surrounding the river valley where the farm is located. We also appreciated all of the extra steps the O'Donoghue's took to make Salmon Leap as environmentally friendly as possible. Thank you Salmon Leap for making our stay in Killarney very memorable.

A beautiful b and b just outside the town. Comfortable accommodations and extremely friendly owners. We sat and chatted with the owners mother one evening she was very sweet. The owner took us on a tour of the property and was very knowledgeable on the history, of that location and the town. He offered tips when discussing activities and drives to take.We enjoyed our stay with them, and would highly recommend a stay there.

Wonderful location and very friendly owners. They went out of their way to get distilled water for my husbands sleep apnea machine before we arrived. Beautiful area and lovely owners. We enjoyed our time at Salmon Leap Farm
