Meet your host…

Sean O'Donoghue

The O@Donoghue family have owned (for hundreds of years) and managed Salmon Leap Farm as a B+B since 1963. Sheila and Flor O@Donoghue started the B+B and Sheila is still part of the team along with Sean(son), Eilish(daughter in law) and Peter(grandson).Salmon Leap Farm has evolved over the years to what it is today, a 3 star, eco friendly B+B. We celebrated our 50th anniversary as a bed and breakfast in 2013 which we think was a milestone in the tourist business in Ireland.

Easily the best bed of our ten-day trip. Sean was gracious to lead us out to the burial site and hack the way through the foliage so we could see the heritage. We truly valued the two days we spent there and fully recommend the stay. Oh yes, and the eco friendly (and fierce) shower they had. Made me research where to find one in the US…

One oh the highlights of our trip was our stay at Salmon Leap Farm. The spacious room was clean, great beds and shower, and delicious breakfast. Sean was a gracious host who shared history of the farm and took us to see the Christian burial ground from 400 AD on their property and shared history from generations past. We would love to get back there again. We highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at this 200 year old farmhouse- it had old charm with modern conveniences! The shower was wonderful. Sean was full of information about local sites and activities. He and his mom cooked us delicious breakfasts which we ate in their cute dining room. This location was superb for Killarney, Dingle and the Ring of Kerry.
